Hey all, just had a few quick minoxidil questions.

Currently, I'm using this brand that I get from walgreens: http://a1061.g.akamai.net/7/1061/5412/h ... x450_a.jpg

Is this good enough? Is there a significant difference in minoxidil brands? should I be using something like dr lee or kirkland?

Second question is, is there a significant difference between minoxidil liquid and foam? I've been on the liquid since I was 19. To be honest, I don't know how effective it as been, I still shed every day, with long periods of 10-20 hairs in the sink and heavy sheds of 150-200 in the sink.

Just trying to figure out what the best way to go is, or if I'm just screwed. Thanks guys.

To be honest, I think it depends on the individual. Some claim better results with the foam, some claim better with the liquid. You have to try yourself and see.

If you've been using the liquid awhile and it doesn't seem to be helping then I would definitely consider trying the foam.

I have some questions too, I've never used the stuff but I'm considering it.

People always make minoxidil out to be something that's expensive. But on Amazon there's a 12 month unscented kirkland 5% liquid supply for 49 dollars. It's got 12 2 oz bottles. That's cheap as hell if it really lasts a year, but I suspect it doesn't and that's only if you use it really conservatively. Is my suspicion correct or is it really that cheap? Do you guys put it over the whole top of your head?

Also, people have said it starts wearing off after 2 years or so. Is that true for most people where the hair slowly starts degrading again after that short an amount of time? Or is it like finasteride where it all depends on the person and it could possibly keep working for 10+ years?
