my BF has gained quite a bit of weight after switching to another brand of hair loss supplement. the only difference, is the percentage of Minoxidil.

according to a poll of Minoxidil's side effects , weight gain is indeed one of the symptoms experienced. Anyone else has similar experience?

it is POSSIBLE. But, you may want to see his eating/beer drinking habits. That is probably the more likely reason to weight gain.

I agree. Minoxidil can cause water retention in a small percentage of users, which I suppose could cause weight gain, but if you are actually referring to weight gain as being extra fat that wasn't there before, I sincerely doubt it was caused by minoxidil.

Yeah I'm extremely sceptical of people who say propecia or minoxidil made them fat. Since you say quite a bit of weight I'm even more sceptical. I don't think it's humanly possible to have so much water retention that it would lead to quite a bit of weight gain. I can see 5-10 lbs at the most but anything more will have to be fat.

What's his eating habit?
What's his exercise habit?
Does he do a lot of cardio?
