I have a question regarding Rogaine (minoxidil) on the hairline. It says in the phamplet that comes with that Rogaine is not to be used on the hairline but for the crown. I know the reason it says this is because the tests were done on the crown region only so they can not market it for a certain region of the head if clinical trials were not done in that part.
There seems to be alot of people who have had some success when using it on the hairline, at least in the forum community. My question is why dont they do clinical trials on the hairline? Then we would get a clearer consensus on the success rate in that region. As this web site claims that it does work on the hairline but just not as well as the crown. I guess I dont understand why they dont do trials so they can market it to work on the hairline, I would think that increase profits as more would be sold if that were the case. Or just market it that it works best on crown but also works on hairline to a lesser extent.
I just dont understand, why it advises you not to put on the hairline if you have nothing to lose and maybe a slight chance to regrow some hair. Maybe its the hair transplant lobby paying them not to advertise it that way (ha im kidding).
-Does anyone know if there has been any respected studies of trials done on the hairline? If so I would like to see the results.
