minoxidil usage questions

OK so I just got my box of kirkland minoxidil yesterday and just used it for the first time this morning. I just have a few questions.

1. Is this stuff supposed to be clear? From all of the stories I've read about it staining stuff I figured it be this brown gooey stuff

2. I'm putting in my temporal and frontal areas. I know that it is not for these areas but I've read that is still may work there, just not as good. Is that true?

3. I won't be able to get onto propeica until the beginning of June (thats when my insurance coverage starts) Is it a waste of time to use this stuff if I'm not on propecia?

4. Does everybody shed? And when i do shed will that hair probably grow back or will it be gone forever?

Thanks for your help guys!

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No
4. No. Probably grow back thicker and stronger than before the shed.

Sheds aren't guaranteed - but they are highly probable. If it happens to you - just stay on your treatment through the shedding process.

I'm also more concerned about my temporal areas that dont have hair. I've read that if I only put the minoxidil there and not areas that currently have hair, I won't shed. is that true?

I'm not 100% sure that comment is true. Sheds can and do occur at the strangest times for a variety of reasons.

But I'd think (again - no expert here - just an experienced user) that applying it only to your temples would help increase the chances that you don't get a shed.
