minoxidil users who would get HM.....

Since minoxidil needs to be used continuously to keep the hairs that have grown, that means that even after the HM we would have to apply it at least once a day to maintaine those Rogaine hairs. I know if HM works, I never want to have to put any thing in my hair again, but I also don't want to get an HM, stop using Rogaine, the discover that half the hairs that were on my head were due to the minoxidil. So I'm thinking I'd stop using minoxidil about 6 months before I got an HM if I knew it would work. What do you guys think? (I know this is all early, but I'm so damn anxious for HM to work that I can't stop thinking about it. I have a crush on Intercytex).

I just re-read my post...
Just to clarify, in case its confusing, I would stop using the minoxidil so all the minoxidil hairs would shed out. Then, when I got my HM, I would fill my scalp up as much as possible so I can have all of them be (hopefully) permanent.

I guess that would work. But what about all the other hairs that you haven't lost yet, but are bound to lose? Hairs that aren't dependent on minoxidil, but not immune to dht?

i was thinking exactly what you were, ill also let it all go before getting HM and hopefully wont need to take or apply anything after that, im sure before normal guys like us get it done we'll see how it goes with the rich guys so we can be well prepared!

First I need to know if HM grows new hair or rejuvenates old ones. If it grows new ones I would stop all meds 6 months before HM so I would lose as much DHT affected hair as possible and grow as much new hair as possible. If it rejuvenates old ones then it's crap because you can never be sure when these hairs will fall out it might take years again or just a month. And I don't know why would they have trouble with the direction of the new growing hair if the follicles are just reactivated.

About one year before I would get HM done I would stop all my treatments and then shave it all off and wear the shaved look for one year.......until I get my previously lost hair back from HM. This will be funny.

Guys I could be wrong but I don't think HM re-activates dormant follicles. From all the info I've read and the vid clips I've seen I believe HM is the process of taking good hair folicles from a donor area and cloning them in a petridish (for example) and implanting them into your hair where they are needed. It's much like a hair transplant only the ground breaking thing is the cloning part which means you have almost an infinate amount of transplanted hairs from a small amount of donar hair.

If HM was going to reactivate my dormant folicles and give me back my natural hair I'd be way more excited about it than I am.
