Hi guys,
I started using minoxidil some months ago, at the beginning I was using Minoxidil made from my pharmacist (with glycol and alcohol) and was ok, but after few weeks I started to feel my scalp really sensible..then after that, I tried Rogaine foam 5%, but even without glycol I feel my scalp burning and super itchy (because there is alcohol inside and it makes the skin dry..)

So, Where I can find, or how has to be make the minoxidil without alcohol and glycol to be effective?

Thanks to everybody and have a nice day :)

You're definitely not the only one, I'm suffering from the alcohol too, and at first like you I thought that the Glycol is the reason for my scalp irritation, redness, itchy, dandruff and you name it. so I moved from kirkland to Rogaine and unfortunately discovered that it's from the freaking alcohol. I tried to reduce the usage to once a day but it didn't really helped. you can look for "low alcohol" or alcohol free & without PG alternatives, there are a few products out there(search google). I also heard people saying that their pharmacist made them a custom minoxidil formula that doesn't contains alcohol & PG. you should try asking your local pharmacies or your dermatologist to prescribe you a formulated minoxidil. that's what i'm about to do anyway. I contact my dermatologist and he told me that he can prescribe me a custom minoxidil and then I guess i'll need to go to my local pharmacy and they'll make me one by his prescription.

I hope I managed to help you.

BTW, if you found a solution please let me know! :)

Thanks.
