I'm kind of used to having comments made about my height from time to time. Didn't want to add hairloss into the mix. Thankfully finasteride has done the trick for me. If only there was a height pill ;)

I fully agree with OP 100%.

It boils down to narcisism.

The guys here crying about hair loss are doing themselves no favours by constantly posting about it.

Speaking from experience, hair loss only botheres you if you let it. A real man follows his heart regardless. If some b**ch has a problem with you hair loss, **** her. Follow your dreams, achive your goals regardless. The very act of doing so will make you forget about your hair and give you something more to value in life.

When I see guys with a full head of hair you know what I think... I think he's got it easy. And because of that, he is less likely to want to improve his situation. This is the lesson guys with hair loss need to learn, is that the value they seek is not on top of their head, but in their hearts.

Dont cry, be active. Write, read, learn, study, travel, work out. Become a self improvement battletank. I promise you hair loss will become a trivial concern when you develop lofty ambition.

The times i have tried to be positive and say things similar to Aargon on here is to many times but only they can help themselves now...some may say "then why you are here if you fine with it" well i cant help wanting to help others or try at least...if that makes me sad that im here when i could be doing "better" things then so be it (even though it only takes a few minutes every now and again out of my day to comment)...but yes only they can help themselves in the end we can help then down the road sort of speak but only they can finish the journey.

And what if you don't want to do that Aragorn? Other men can live a pretty decent lives without being an "improvement battletank". Why should we have to compensate? Can't we just be bald?

There is always this innuendo that if you're bald, then you should do something to make up for it: "Just become, rich, powerful, bulked, super smart and your hair loss won't matter!"

As if it were that easy.
Why don't u just go put yourself out of your misery

cant I do all that stuff WITH hair? Im ambitious enough, I just want hair now.

You can just be bald sure, but where has that got you? By the looks of it making FML topics on a hair loss forum.

This thread seems very unnecessary. Hair loss sucks, and the psychological effect is worse for some people than it is for others. People come here for support from others who understand what they're going through; people do not come here to get berated because some think they're overreacting.

Sorry you feel that way, and people coming here for support is awesome more power to you, but I feel all the negative comments that a lot of people make here are very unnecessary

They might be necessary, and therapeutic, for the people making them.

In all fairness, this place can bring you down. It can become a pity party, I should know. It's good to vent but sometimes this place can be a depression enabler. It doesn't help however to have unsympathetic people come here to berate and prod at vulnerable suffers. Sometimes I think there are more full headed trolls taking the mick out of bald people here than legitimate hair loss suffers, which is why I am taking a leave of absence from this place. I have to get on with my life and I can't do it with the mindset of a victim.

Totally agree this is 90 percent a pity party in this section of the website , and nothing but a depression enabler after reading things people have said on here the last few days it really is a lot of negative, no positive thoughts to help people in our boat feel any better, I think that's your best possible option is to log out and not surround yourself with such negativity or you could just fall in a hole of depression for months in this place, I'm no therapist but that's a good idea for u man

Sure there is allot of self pity but if you read the post there are a few of us who turn it into fun. Sometime it just takes time to get there.

SPOT ON.

Logging on daily to complain about your hair will 1) not bring it back. 2) creates a self fullfilling propechy which brings you what you keep reiterating via the law of attraction.

It's funny, I've noticed a genuine correlation between how much my hair loss bothers me to the times I've logged on here and other hair loss forums.

The best thing you can do about it is honestly forget about it, which you wont do by logging in here every day.

My advice is to delete your account, and maybe just browse as a guest once in a while.

Good luck UC man, I've read lots of your posts and you seem like a cool level headed guy. I honestly hope you find the peace and self acceptance that you seek. Whenever hair loss gets me down, I remind myself that challenging times forge a strong soul.

See I disagree I have not felt better in a long time since on this board. It takes all kinds remember that and even though this area may make you depressed for others it's an outlet. Sometimes all a person needs us an outlet to feel better fit a few. I think people with depression seek an outlet more than comforting words. Trust from someone who deals with it. You need to vent then laugh. But you have to know you're depressed to learn to deal with it. The normal mind is a fallacy, always remember that, even Einstein was socially awkward to a degree. Saying this area makes you more depressed doesn't help those who come to vent, it only makes those who don't understand the mind become more withdrawn and alone. If you can't see that then you are just over here to make trouble or feel good at another's expense.
Don't s delete your account just stay away from this area a while, no one forces anyone to stop here.
