I'm having muscle twitches all over my body constantly. They make it impossible to concentrate on something. Sometimes I even do unwanted movements because of them.
Anybody else on finasteride having this?

I've been taking Propecia for 10 days now so far, and a day or two ago I noticed I had developed a minor twitch in my left eye. But now it seems to have gone away. If anything I'm even more mellow now and it seems like I can concentrate BETTER on things.

you really really really need to see a doctor for your laundry list of issues.
I am doing it, but it seems impossible to get to the bottom of the things.

You've been off Finasteride for 4 months.
This isn't caused by Finasteride, it's just your own poor genetics.

Fanjeera, you need to get in touch with a COMPEDENT doctor who will listen to all your symptoms and permit you to take the massive ammount of bloodwork that you probably need to figure out what the hell is wrong with you. Thyroid and Adrenals are a very good place to start. Along with nutritional / lifestyle / sleeping habits.

You need to do a good job of organizing all your symptoms and thoughts in order of severity, if anything triggers them, what time of day they get worse etc etc etc.

Twitching is likely a symptom of minoxidil as a vasodilator. I sometimes suffer from eye twitches due to minoxidil.

Eye twitches are very different from the twitches that happen all over the body.

Thanks! I already tested my thyroid and am waiting for the answer right now. I really hope my body isn't as messed up as it seems.

At risk of sounding like an idiot, I think you need to chill out. From what I've read of your story, you took finasteride for a week or two, no more, and since have been reporting a whole host of complex symptoms - reportedly due to the drug.

It's not "all in your head", since you're experiencing real, physical symptoms. However, the level of stress you're putting yourself under can itself cause these physical symptoms. It can really make you sick!

I think you should pursue your medical tests, but you should seriously drop the propecia hypothesis you seem to have. I just think it's a blind alley. There's no way that a few days of finasteride can cause this laundry list of issues, many of which have arisen long after you've discontinued the drug.

Some drugs can over stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system leading to muscular twitches, and I believe eventual muscle paralysis. Propecia nor minoxidil belong to these drug categories.

Where have you read that Propecia belongs to this category of drug? Please provide a link to scientific materials stating as such, thanks.

I think he's saying they DONT belong to these catagories, hence the 'nor'

I think he typed that wrong...I think he meant "neither propecia nor minoxidil"

I've had muscle twitches from going through opiate withdrawal (i guess that's why they called it "kicking the habit"?) as my legs would kick out on their own

All over the body or just in the face? Facial twitching is nothing serious, but all over is.
Nobody else here got it from finasteride really?
