Well I'm on Month 15 with finasteride/nizoral and month 16 with minoxidil and thought I'd give an update.
Looks like my vertex has lost some considerable ground comparing the 4month photos to the 15 month photos but I'm still above baseline.
Hairline looks a little thinner than my 4 month pics but not by much.
You'll notice that in the 15 Month pics the lighting is different and you have my apologies. We have recently changed the the type of lighting in our bathroom. Either way it shows some loss from my original 4 month results.
Maybe time for the kitchen sink approach :(

Your vertex is looking good to me - unless I'm missing something.

The wet photo looks good - what is the photo above? Sorry to be so slow....

Yo BHD your 15 month pics look great. Your regeime is doing it for you. When did you get on Tricomin? I just got my Folligen today and I just ordered Xanadrox15 to add to my stubborn temples.

do you credit it more towards minoxidil or finasteride?

compared to my 4month treatment photos my 15 month shows a loss in the crown density.

just an FYI for everyone...the before photos are on top and before I started any treatment. The bottom photos are the "after" treatemts.

I had incredible gains up to month 4 then I slowly started losing ground.

I'm still above my baseline photos so overall I guess I have nothing to complain about.

Impossible to tell if one's working better than the other since they were started only a month apart. I certainly don't know.

You're losing it B, you're showing a massive improvement from 4 months. It's plain as day!

Anyone else on this forum will back up my opinion.

Here's a pic from 4 months of treatment (top) compared to 15 months(bottom). I've definitely had some loss in the vertex.

Hair is wet in both pictures. You'll have to trust me on this then bro. I can tell by feeling it that it's thinner. I appreciate your optimism though :)

I think the improvement from month 3 was the minoxidil regrowth peak:

BHD,
I can see what your saying about the vertex being maybe a little thinner. However, I think you have held up pretty nicely.

Excellent BHD! Good going! Your vertex looks a little thinner but it sure looks alot wetter than the 4 month picture. Maybe you don't remember just how wet your hair was in the 4 month picture? It sure does look alot drier in the 4 month picture?

Anyway, I think you've improved quite alot. Your hair looks healthier and thicker to me.

What I mean BHD is that EACH hair looks more healthy than in the older pictures. Not near as "wispy". That's real important IMHO. Think about it. If you see someone with thick healthy hair that is thinning a little, doesn't it look better than someone with thinner, drier hair that is not as thin overall? To me it looks WAY better. You know, it's healthy!

I guarantee you, to women that attracts them more than anything. Healthy looking man.

Perhaps your yo-yo on off Finasteride due to finding a solution to gyno had something to do with it? Now granted anyone can take some time off and normaly do fine, but a significant duration of yo-yo intake maybe put a dent in you? If this is true, I think it will all come back to your preak. Regardless, your still doing good.

Treatment wise, have your considered just dumping your regimen and shooting for Dr P instead of the kitchen sink?

Hairwise, again I think your hair still looks good to me, but perhaps it's time to cut the hair? (Sorry, I had to just float it out there so don't get mad :).) Not that I think your hair looks bad but typically long haired guys that are balding do well with short hair. Longer hair tends to weigh more and pulls it aside exposing more of the scalp thus making the bald spots look greater.

I had to cut it the long hair. I was scared to the point of weak knees. It ended up being a good idea for me. But damn it was scary.

Biz, he is on Finasteride so in my opinion that chart doesn't apply to him, I would imagine the graph streches out over time.

I'd definitely have to say that lowering my finasteride dose, taking tamoxifen, then upping my finasteride dose and going off of tamoxifen twice in the last several months has most likely had an impact on my results. That's almost certain. I guess I should have mentioned that in my first post for any newbies here that didn't know my situation.

Like I said before I'm still above baseline so I can't complain there. My hair health has improved dramtically as well since starting my regimen. OK so i won't go for the kitchen sink just yet.

As far as the haircut...I'm scared shitless. I've never ever had any kind of a short haircut. Might be time to do it though. I wear my hair back in a ponytail 24/7 anyways so i would imagine it wouldn't look much different. But that ponytail does completely cover that bald spot(ala combover). It's probably the only thing stopping me from doing it. I get nervous thinking about it. Someday

BTW thanks for the positive comments guys. It means a lot to me.

Incredible results! Is this normal for most with this amount of hair loss to respond so well to the Big Three? Guys??

LOL

Man o man...I will never forget getting my hair cut. It was shaved on the sides and back and long on top. Ok were talking the mid to late 90's here to forgive me. My hairline was receding and I knew I would only be saved by short hair. My sisters boyfriend worked at a salon and was losing his hair himself and talked about it all the time. I agonized for 5 months on cutting it. One day, I was at their apt and after 6 or 7 beers of courage I said f*** it and I had him shave my head grade 3 on the clipper. I was shaking when I saw these foot long clumps of THG/DHT :) riddled hair fall away to the floor. I was so scared on how I would look.

Granted I can't do that now being a Norwood 2.5 but since then my hair has been 1 to 3 inches long. I love it, I am glad I cut it and I know for me I look better with short hair. I hung on too long to it. I am not saying it is for you, but for most, short hair while balding is the way to go.

I have the "I admit I am balding short hair guy" look going. Everyone can see my loss but even balding guys can style a balding heads to look decent.
