My 3 month propecia results!

Hey guys, my experience so far is kinda wierd for a propecia side effect but it is the only thing i've added into my diet. im 25 years old. since i started taking it 3 months ago i noticed the reverse in libido. im actually hornier more often and i get erections at any given point in the day. my skin is breaking out on my face with acne like when i was 16 (in the same exact places on my face too). my back and shoulders also have been breaking out with pimples. it almost feels like i'm going through puberty again. the only thing i can conjure is that now my natural test production is not converting to dht anymore leaving me with the side effects of too much testosterone. I work out in the gym 3 days a week and also noticed gains in muscle since then as well.

is this crazy and just a quincidence or could this be possible?

What should i do? will it clear up on its own?

oh yea, well the hair completely stopped falling out. it even seems to me that its getting thicker and healthier.

This is getting to be old news for me as i have mentioned the same conditions for the last month. My back, shoulders and triceps are covered in nasty red zits that i never had before. The situation has gotten a BIT better since I started showering twice a day.

The strength increasess I have also noted, however i am now experiencing big dips in the strength and endurance area. One week Im feeling really strong, the next week Im really struggling with the same wieght. Is a drastic difference and getting to be a pain.

I have gotten a big leap in weight gain inititally but that seems to have stabilized a bit.

What can you do? The more I ask that question the more I hear a variety of different answers. In the end it seems that your only true option is: accept what you can handle, if the side effects get to be too much drop finasteride. Im entertaining that exact thought, even though its helped my hair situation. For me though, its not worth having an acne riddled back that I cant show off in the summer. Whats the point of training to look good if you gotta keep covered up?

By the way, if thats you in your avatar you got good arm development. Your shoulder loks a little weak, (kinda sloped) but pictures can be deceiving. Keep it up.

You wanna tell me a little bit about your training routine and nutrition?

well thanks for the input. i think i might just start taking propecia just enough to do the job and no more. i think i'll cut it back to every other day instead of every day. see what happens. actually my bros on the fitness board told me to start taking 1000mg of pantothenic acid everyday and it should clear me up right. they use that when they are on an AAS cycle.

that is me in my avatar. my diet is simple. 1.5 grams protein per lb of bodywieght. i eat high protien medium to low carbs. mostly chicken, tuna, steak and eggs. flax seed, b12, daily vitamins. i take Nlarge2 protein everymorning, mid day and before bed and a nitrotech quick absorbing protein immediatly post workout.

my training is 3 days a week, i alternate excersises week to week. i pretty much do all the major moves and just alternate them like i mentioned above. it just keeps your body guessing.

Hey scaggs, your pretty riped. I have a question for ya. I havent worked out for like 7 months because I had arthritis in my knee but its finally getting better and I can work out again. It sucks though, 7 months of not working out my muscles kinda started 2 go to mush and I am weak now.

Anyways I also drink chocalate nitro tech. One shake I will have 2 scopes of protien. I am planning to drink 3 shakes a day to gain wieght for the next 3 months or so.

You think that would be enough, I will have about 1 gram of protien for each pound. I will be exceeding my body wieght with protien by about 25 grams each day. You think nitro tech helps you out? A lot of huge guys at the gym use nitro tech.

always good to hear. keep it up. ps ive read so many comments on the board about people riding out side effects once the body takes its time to adjust to the changed hormone levels. if its not thaat bad y not c if it sets itself?

Well that is what i was thinking too. maybe its just going to take some time for my body to adjust. i'm not stopping propecia. im going to ride it out atleast a year. I'm going to combat it with pantothenic acid and my dermitologist though....

Yes nitro tech built me up my first year of training. that is all i used. i put on about 20 lbs of lean mass my first year. i did combined it with pro-hormomes though... however even with juice you don't grow without protein period. so pound the protein, eat right, and train right and you'll grow. just don't overtrain. secret to gaining is figuring out just how hard and how much to train to just grow and thats it. any harder or more may actually reduce your gains. hence overtraining.

I think its also important to add that Nitro tech isnt going to be the deciding factor in any weight gain program. Its not a mass builder, it just provides quick protien for the muscle. You HAVE to eat solid food and lots of it or you can forget making any drastic differences. There is NO magic pill. You got to eat,eat,eat.

Also, just because you hurt your knee doesnt mean you cant train other body parts that arent injured. there is always something that can be done to help you improve your body and health.

Yea I know. But nitrotech is a shake not a pill. Drinking nitro tech is like a fat meal but you still need to eat. I am really gunna start concentrating on working out the next 6 months and be really dedicated. But I have a workout question for you guys.

I wanna gain about 20 pounds back. I have a good workout routine and I will workout consistenly and correctly. But I just have a question. I understand how protien is important but I never really understood how many calories you need.

How many calories should I have each day to gain wieght? And what exactly are those pro hormones?

Pro hormones are a variant of a hormone that can be altered by various natural enzymes in the body so that a more active hormone is produced and may have 'drug-like' effects and they are legal, for now.

Do not expect pro hormones of any kind to be as effective as anabolic steroids. if anyone tell you they are, they are probably trying to sell you prohormone.

As far a calories are concerned, everyone is different and no one can just guess how many calories you need to gain weight but I think this general info might be helpful. Weigh yourself and WRITE IT DOWN. Take note of everything you put in your mouth for the day and WRITE IT DOWN. Do this for 2 weeks and then weigh yourself again. Did your weight go up? Did it stay the same? Did you lose weight? If your weight went up, your on the right track. If it went down or stayed the same add 500 calories of food everyday for the week. Keep adding calories as your weight starts to stagnate. Eat really clean foods, stay away from junk food.

You can give yourself a cheat day for extra calories and to spice things up.

This way of gaining weight requires that you seriously monitor what you are eating everyday, otherwise you are just playing guessing games and will always fall back to square one, feeling discouraged. This way of dieting will also help keep you leaner because youll know exactly how much caloreis are neccasary to have your weight go up, just enough without getting overly fat.

Of coarse, some cardio, training hard and sleep are also important factors. Your only as strong as your weakest link. Be patient, it takes TIME to make muscle, something you cant rush. Good luck.

If your taking actual Propecia(not Proscar) just cut your pill in half and take half the usual dose per day. This will keep your DHT levels on a more even keel than skipping days.

Thanks hairy but I am just so lost on the calories. I got the protien part down very well, but I really wanna understand how many carbs and calories I should be eating each day. Do you have any advice or a website I can go to with a chart. Can you give me a rough estimate of how many calories the average guy should have in a day?

And I talked to a doctor about finasteride and he says that I am pretty much fully developed and I can take adult drugs. He said about finasteride it can cause long term effects which nobody knows. I have been taking finasteride for about a week and I am monitoring it to see if everything is ok. Gunna get a hormone test. So far everything is good on the finasteride. I just hope it wont make it harder to gain muscle mass. I am just paranoid. People on this board just scare me. I hope I wont mess up my hormones but i read that if you are fully sexually developed DHT blocking wont really matter for further development.

that sounds good. i am actually taking propecia 1mg. i was debating cutting the pill in half that way i just lower the dosage. but.... i heard that the pill is not equally distributed throughout and most of it is filler. so when i cut it in half, one half may actually be only filler. but either way, its still have the dosage if its EOD. im going to split the pills in half.

in response to Hairybush1's comments about your weight. i agree. he's right on the money...although the pro-hormones do help. not comparable to anabolics but they do help. if you want a good supp... try VPX 1-test sublingal. i transformed after an 8 week cycle on it. i have before and after shots. big difference. its the best one ive taken yet. and i didnt lose hair on it. i lost hair off of T-100, 1-AD, and Androdione Poppers.

Nah I dont have enough money to buy that stuff. I have a jug of creatine monohydrate that I bought a while ago and im gunna finish that stuff up. What do you think about creatine monohydrate?

I'll stand by creatine any day of the week. its one of the only true supp's that meets its claims. i take 5g 3 times a day while cycling it. and one immediatly after a workout. You MUST drink extra amounts of water when on this stuff and you have to be training or you might cramp up. i gain 10 to 12 lbs in a week from holding water with it. ofcourse after the cycle is over it drops off. but it helps to train harder and longer.

Oh you load up on it? I am just gunna go the gradual start and do 5grams a day. Its more simple. It would be a pain to remember to take it at 4 hour intervels for 4 days of the week. You think I should load up or do you think 5grams a day is ok?

I am gunna hit the gym im like an hour and just have a light workout cause I havent worked out for like 7 months. I think maybe in 2-3 weeks when my body adjusts back to working out I might "load up" instead of doing the 5grams per day. Let me know what you think.

And how many calories and carbs should you have each day? How can you know?
