My Account Is 12 Years Old, But Now I Am Truly Losing Hair For The First Time And Freaking Out!

Hi, I'm 42. So I have always been worried about losing my hair. It's on my mom's side and as a younger man it worried me. My wife mentioned one day "You're hair looks thinner" and it got me nervous. I joined here and...pretty much that's it. 12 years goes by and I have had pretty good hair.

But last month something happened. I hadn't cut my hair in 6 months and it was long and messy (I'm out of work). I finally go get my hair cut. Then a few days later I start using a tee tree oil shampoo my wife ordered for dandruff.

Maybe a few days later, the window down in the car and I feel my head in the wind...something was different. I feel the wind in the male pattern baldness areas distinctly. WTF?

Since that day, I have been freaking out about my hair and it seems to be getting worse each day, so rapid? My hairline has changed and now I have zero confidence.

Is this common that the hairloss happens so sudden? I am in shock.

So I bought a head massage, but now freaking out more I saw myself in a reflection of a car!

Should I get a blood test? What if anything could I look for? Is there a test for testosterone?

I'm scared of the sexual side effects of Propecia. But I won't have sex if this goes any further (I was already ugly! OMG :(

Nizoral or Regenepure is better?

I lurked your post and I'm confused, you're not on Finaseride OP? Some of your post say otherwise.

Wow, you know I honestly didn't remember if I had used Propecia. Reading those posts, 12 years ago, so much happened. So I guess I did take it for some time. I stopped because I didn't get results. And then for a while I just lived with what I had...some receeding on one side that I covered with hair. But it never got worse. Life has been busy since then, with ups and downs...how life changed.

And I just viewed some selfies I have taken in the past few months....I guess it's just been gradual but now it's getting worse. My front middle is showing thin hair and like I said, in the wind, I feel the wind on my male pattern baldness sections due to thinning.

I guess I will get some Nizoral, Revivogen and saw palmetto. I really don't want to go to propecia as I already have a lower sex drive at 42 and would hate for something to happen

42 married, kept presentable hair for 12 years with no treatment, unwilling to try the effective existing treatments. Could potentially be set for life or at least into old age on finasteride and minoxidil.

Topics like this are really irritating.

Perhaps there should be a posting requirement that factors age, relationship status, and current level of hairloss....

Just cause most of us have it worse, doesn't mean his situation isn't bad. It's all relative.
