My barber is kind of rough with my hair. Should I tell him to be more careful?

When I'm getting my hair cut by my barber he uses his hands to wipe off excess hair and he rubs my head kind of aggressively. Also when he puts gel on my head he's kind of rough when he does that too. I don't know if this is bad for my hair and can possibly cause damage to the hair. Am I over thinking this or should I tell my barber to be more careful?

I used to go to a barber to get full body hair cuts. The dude was pretty rough too.

Your barber has nothing to do with you losing hair.

Ok. I always heard rubbing your hair with a towel vigorously after a shower was bad for the hair. I was thinking what my barber was doing was similar to that.

Thanks for the reply's.

Normal hair is actually very very strongly rooted in there. I mean you would have to rip it out super hard to remove it or damage it. Its just male pattern baldness hair that comes out by itself or much more easily. Nothing you do will really change it.

Whoever told you that is an idiot. Might as well stop wearing hats, sleeping on a pillow, etc.
