My dear friends , I really need your help .
I`ve been on Avodart since March 1st , 2013 . Besides that , I use Mino . Recently , It seems that shedding has come . I lost more hair a month ago , about 70 hairs .I wash my hair once a day and after washing I lose another 80 . So about 150 hairs gone per day.
I just wanna ask
1) When Avodart`s shedding will start after use it ?
2)How long will the shedding lasts ?
3)Will the lost hair come back ?

Thanks a lot and a lot for answering . I`m just 21 years old . My hairs are becoming thinner and thinner day by day . I dont know if I should keep using Avodart and see the result or give it up .

Why did you start on Avodart just like that instead of going with Finesteride first?

...and yes, pics!

finas or dutas are not advisable to you.
Please visit a doctor

That can be questioned. I still lose hair and I'm on finasteride. Still I keep using it with the reason being "It takes time before it works".
hahadaxiao used finasteride for 6 months before switching to dutasteride. 6 months is too little. I'm quite sure it's at least 12 months on it before you can see the results of using finasteride. You can't just think "oh, it didn't work for me, I'm gonna change to something else." if it doesn't work for you the first 4-5 months. You didn't lose your hair in 4-5 months either, you did it with the years going by. So wait for it to work.

hahasaxiao, I wouldn't have changed avodart just like that since he stopped in the middle of the finasteride course. Soo...I suspect that you switched one drug with another after 6 months to be one of the reasons why your hair is still falling since the new drug which you've used for 4 months so far is doing it's shedding.

Still I agree with Armando, you should go talk to a doctor about it. You shouldn't stop yet though, except if the doctor tells you to.

Firstly , very appreciate for your reply and help !Yes , I get doubt that if finasteride could work for me . I did consider if I should add something else or change to something else .But I did not think it`s a good idea to use finasteride and dutasteride at the same time , so I gave finasteride up . I did such a decision because I read many threads ,such as the twin brother`s report , you may know , and it seems dutasteride did a better job than finasteride . Before I use dutasteride , I did not lose so many hairs , I guess if the shedding what happens recently was caused by dutasteride .I think I should go to see a Doctor and check my DHT level .
OMG , the loss almost crashed me ,I even want to go to dr nigam......

I agree with Armando, dutasteride is too heavy medicine. I'm 32 and I'm staying far away from it even being a NW5/6. I will never use it, specially not after reading about the sideeffects. You still got lots of hair and using such heavy med is not good for your body and is an experiment.

What I meant was that you should have continued finesteride for at least a year to see if it helped or not. I kept losing my hair and then after a half year it went down and then I slowly started to see more hair. Then I started shedding again at month 10....and I started minoxidil.
