I've been on finasteride for 1 month today. 0.5 mg a day, and I can honestly say that my hair is doing much better than it was. I dont have any discomfort / an itchy scalp, my hair sheds less, and things are good with the hair.

Side effect i'm seeing is that I have lost a bit of my sex drive. I can still get a boner, but it's just harder than it was, I dont get the random boners that I did, and sometimes harder to maintain.
I've also been insomniac lately, and i'm not sure if that has to do with finasteride, but it's happening.

Should I quit the drug before the sex drive gets worse? Or should I phase it out? I'm 24 btw
Ty guys

From what most people say a minor effect like that might wear off in a few weeks\months. If it doesn't get any worse I wouldn't worry about it, just see if it gets better.

Thanks man. I'll keep it in check, and i'll drop the finasteride if things get worse.
Things should get back to normal if I do quit though right?
Again, thanks for the reply :)

Things will likely return to normal if you stick with the drug. A lot of people have to sort of "ride out" the initial side-effects of the drug. In the clinical trials, most men with side-effects saw them disappear with continued usage.
