My father's triple bypass

My father had a triple bypass at the age of 57. He is now 59. At the time of his bypass he had very thick hair. Almost immediately after the bypass he began to lose hair. Now he is rapidly losing hair everyday. I am thinking maybe that the lack of blood flow to his scalp was actually causing less DHT to get into his follicles? Now that he has great blood flow, maybe it is actually working against him?

I doubt it, seems more likley that after under going major surgery his body is in some sort of shock and therefore he is shedding from that. I dunno but I really dont think its a blood supply issue.

I dunno, maybe his heart problems are a bigger deal than hair. I may be drunk and correct me on this, but some things in life are bigger.

Yeah, because his asking a question means he so obviously doesn't care about his father's health. I may not be drunk and feeling like I'm better than everyone else so correct me on this, but only the stupidest of assholes would make a post implying that the topic creator didn't give a sh*t about his own father.

Silkeysmooth bud, I didn't imply he doesn't care about his father's health at all, I'm just saying that in comparison it kinda makes you wonder why we're all so worried about hair when there're such bigger things that could happen. I know it's not gonna make any of us worry any less, but some things in life make you wonder. You really need to chill...

Regardless of your intent, your post reads more as a sarcastic conclusion that tour de force cares more about hair than his father.

TH14, bait me all you want, I've already posted my thoughts on the matter.

And your post reads like you're a complete baby who takes things the completely wrong way. Regardless of your intent of course... I'm sure you meant good things when you called me the "stupidest of assholes."

I didn't take it the wrong way. You wrote it the wrong way.

Appparently sarcasm is so ingrained into your writing pattern that you don't even realize you're doing it when you "innocently" respond to the poster's mentioning of his father's ill health.

You may have intended some insightful comment, and if you did I apologize for calling you the stupidest of assholes. But it doesn't take an english major to conclude from this post, in conjunction with your tendency to be sarcastic, that such a statement could be intrepreted the way I felt it was.

Umm guys, it was just a scientific hypothesis. I'm really quite offended that you would think I am downplaying my own father's heart condition. He is fully recovered now, but at the time the whole episode was one of the worst events my family has had to deal with. It honestly makes me wonder about the level of mental health that is on these boards, and whether or not it is worth posting here.

I can understand, especially considering my natural tendency to be sarcastic, the misinterpretation of the tone of my post. However, considering my admitted intoxication, it would also be fair to assume that perhaps my message didn't come out with quite the same tone as intended. I would just appreciate that before jumping all over me and calling me the stupidest of assholes, things like this get cleared up.

I may be sarcastic and somewhat abrasive at times, but to accuse a poster of caring about his hair more than his father's surgery is taking things farther than even somebody like myself would care to. My apologies for the tone of the message, but I assure you this was not my intent.

Point taken; I apologize for making assumptions. I guess when I read the topic I kind of expected someone to make a comment similar to what TH14 posted, and made a hasty conclusion about your post. Again, sorry for the misinterpretation and calling you an a**h**.

But TH14, you my friend, are the stupidest of assholes.

quite.

do you think the posters were unhinged already or has the impact of losing their hair pushed them right over the edge??
