My grandfathers mature hairline

Since there's been some discussion about whether or not there is such a thing as a 'mature hairline', i'd like to show you 2 pictures of my maternal grandfather, one from when he was about 25 I guess, and 1 from his 85th birthday.
I've seen even younger pics of my grandfather where his hairline was a bit better so he definitely did recede a bit from his original child hairline. Here we go:

About 25 years old:

From his 85th birthday earlier this year:

So is it possible to keep an NW2 for 60 years? Yes.

Of course you can keep any Norwood for the rest of your life.

The dilemma with the mature hairline is that there is no guarantee you are going to stay at that, or how fast is going to receed further.

Any Norwood 7 started losing hair as a NW2

I believe many people who develop a mature hairline ends up with a "widows peak." I think though the widows peak gives the illusion of temple recession. I've had a widows peak since i was 16 and now 22 still have the same hair line.

My point being tho, if you would draw a line from temple to temple, and cut out the peak of hair down, I would say it would look more like a NW1 rather then a nw2. Just my opinon.
