My hair line 2003 ->2007

I'm 23 but i started to lose hair at about 21.
I'm taking 1 mg propecia since the beginning of september 2003 and i
added recently 2% minoxidil (alostil) twice a day.
I think i'm 2A, ( maybe 3, not sure) on Norwood scale.
My shampoo are Phytovolume and Nodé (i'm from france btw).

Do you think it's enough ? Is my hair loss treatment ok ?

BTW, after a month with propecia + minoxidil 2% ,i'm loosing more hair than before (30/40 vs 20-25 before). Is it normal 8O ???

Propecia & Minoxidil is enough for MOST people suffering from male pattern baldness. Ideally you should use Nizoral Shampoo (or any generic 2% ketaconazole shampoo). Propecia/minoxidil/nizoral is a great regimen.

Your probably shedding at the moment, i did shortly after stsrting minoxidil. Keep it up for 6 months, then assess your situation.

Here , in france u need to see a doctor to have minoxidil 5% not for the 2% ... That's why i'm taking only minoxidil 2%.

For the shampoo, i think i will buy another phyto shampoo : phytoaxil for thinning hair. Where can i find Nizoral Shampoo in france/europe ?

Personally, i'd get the 5% minoxidil from wholesale & i'd buy 2 or 3 bottles of "regrowth treatment shampoo 2% ketakonazole" from minoxidil.com.

I use both sites and both are legit.

5% minoxidil in scientific studies shows to be around 40% more effective than the 2% version.

Use it 2-3 times per week, it's the best shampoo for hairloss in my opinion.

Yes I would agree that 5% minoxidil is the way to go.

You'll have great chances of saving your hair with a finasteride/Min/nizoral combo.

Also, yes the increase of hairs in the first 2-5 weeks is normal after starting Minoxidil.

After 4 weeks of propecia, i had some side effects (libido...). So i stopped it and used minoxidil 5% instead.

I will do a blood test before going back to propecia. I think i will take 0.5 mg instead of 1 mg/day.

Btw after 3 weeks of minoxidil i loose more hairs than before ! From 20-25 to 50 now. i've read it's normal but it scares me !

Super cheap minoxidil and Super expensive Nizoral!

I am in London and am luckily that I can get Nizoral (2% Ketoconazole the proper stuff not the Boots 'Nizorelle' with no Ketoconazole) at the health shop at the end of my road for £8.50

But I am still paying 'Regaine' prices fror my minoxidil (£27.00/60ml !!!!)

I am from Czech republic and I just go to drugstore and pay about 8,-Euro per 100ml bottle of 2% version. Should not be the same options for selling nizoral in hole EU?

It's worth a shot (.5mg). 4 weeks a very short time to try out propecia. My libido swung up and down viciously in the first month I was on it, but has stabalized now.

what do u think about 0.5 mg /day instead of 1mg ? I hope that it will reduce side effects.
