damn!! Thats a quite a transformation from 6-7 months ago. Was your crown always like this? Looks like its taken a real beating over the past 6 months since you last posted pics on this thread. I think its time for some dutasteride and 15% minoxidil for that crown. You gotta go all out now, otherwise its hair transplant time...

Hey guys, my crown was just like this 6-7 months ago, I just didn't take any photos. I have only been taking the finpecia from united pharmacies.

You scared a lot of us into thinking you got a lot worse. Your hair is very thick in the first post, and if you've maintained thus far I'd be pretty happy. A lot of people have balding at the crown just naturally but don't receed more. Well, maybe not a lot of people but some do.

Re: My hairline - update 30/8/08

Hairline is intact just the crown slightly worse.

I have decided to start taking Propecia only ( no more Finpecia ) and restarting Rogaine - my hair was great just 2 years ago when I was using it, I took a year hiatus from it but want to restart it because I dont like the highly visible crown I have.

Nizoral is also back in application every 3 days.

Will update in one month.

Yes I pretty much maintained overall but the crown is slightly worse. I dont want the crown to be as clearly visible as the people you have described. I restarted Rogaine for the purpose of hopefully thickening the crown.

So I made a mistake. I could not handle certain side effects. i had constant acne. I could not concentrate on studying because my mind felt bogged down. I was younger and less wiser. I decided to quit propecia and rogaine in May of 2009. What happened next is obvious to you all. I slowly lost all the hair i had. Here i am at 24 years old and very close to NW5/NW6.

When I think about what hair i could still have , it surprises me.

Do i have to get a Wayne Rooney esque hair transplant for me to have any hair again ? Most people still tell me i look far too young to be bald.

Im sorry to hear that mate, post a picture so I can see how bad it regressed. I would tell you to hop back on finasteride otherwise go with a transplant

Two month late reply, sorry about that.

I attached my pics for all to see. What do you think can be done ? Im personally resigned to a bald life which I do not mind. But what I do want to know is there any chance I could go back to what I had ?

I think you could get some back if you are a good responder to the big 3. I still see you have a nw3ish hairline, you are just very diffuse, and nw4 or so crown. I think I have also read that the diffuse can be fixed up with the big 3. If you thickened your diffuse you would be a Norwood 3-4 with a progressed crown which is right where a hair transplant could fix the rest.

This would be a lot of work, and you actually look good where you are, good shaved look. Up to you if its worth the time/cost.

Thanks for the reply. i thought I am considered Norwood 6 end of the road type baldness :p I used to take the big 3 but then stopped. You cant regain what is lost , right ?

Well it is kind of like, close to nw6. I would need to see it a bit longer to say exactly, but from that length it looks like you still have a bit of density in the nw3 or so pattern. I think NW6-7 is like slick bald almost everywhere.

Some people can actually regain quite well, even at your current density if you are a good responder, have a kick *** regimen, and stick to it for a long time you could get a good bit back (I've seen some stories on here of similar).

You could also get a hair transplant up to like the nw3 zone (and appear to have some diffuse thinning all over), and use topic or similar to appear thicker.

How do you get it shorter than a 1??

Could you go even shorter or would that be loads of upkeep?
