For the next 3-4 years I will be on finasteride, until my body becomes resistant to it. After that, they I will go on dutasteride, for another 3-4 years. After that, hopefully something else should come out. By the time I am 35, I won't give a sh*t about hairloss by then, because I'd be settled down.

Anyone else think like I do ?

Oh, and hairloss sucks.....

Your body may not become resistant to propecia. I have been on propecia for 6 years, and as far as I can tell, have maintained what I started with.
Not saying eventually my hair won't decline further, but in 6 years, so far so good.

I was 23 when I started, and am 29 now.

It's not your body that becomes more resistant to fina, it's the accelerating pace of male pattern baldness that makes most people lose hair after being on fina for years.

also, after how many years into male pattern baldness does your hairloss accellerates the most and becomes extremely aggressive ??

I am on my fifth year of hairlos :( but my hair is diffusing to norwood 5A :(

I agree, there is absolutely NO credible evidence whatsoever that your body becomes resistant to finasteride, Ive been on it 6 years and its still going fine.

The thing is DHT is STILL attacking your hair to a certain extent while on finasteride and thus some people with more aggressive hairloss will sumarrise that finasteride has stopped working for them after a few years, while others will still see `results` for much, much longer.

That's not even 15 years.

My plan is basically this...
Finasteride for 6-8 years along with minoxidil on my temporal region.
Then after 6-8 years, add minoxidil to the whole top of my head(because i'm a diffuser with some recession). That minoxidil over the top of my head should give me another good 5 years.

My plan is to generally follow all the same you guys are doing or hopefully something new will be out by then. If not, I may opt for some type of transplant depending on if I think it will look half decent. Or, I just might not care at that point. I hope I do though.
