Looks like a NW2 to me.

Despite the slight frontal recession, your vertex looks outstanding.

male pattern baldness usually happens in fits and spurts. You'll recede over the course of a year or so, then it will stop... then at some later point you'll go through more recession.

In other words, as GreyMan said above, you might continue to receed, or, you might very well keep that same hairline for five years before it goes into another round of recession.

For me, I could always remember the recession periods because they were accompanied by lots of scalp irritation. How is your scalp feeling? If your scalp is feeling good, and you don't get that urge to run the brush through your hair to scratch the itch, then you might just want to wait a bit and see how things progress.

I know a lot of folks are going to tell you to jump on all of the meds immediately, but I disagree. Remember that a hairloss regimen is a daily habit that takes up time and costs money. And when you start it, you can't stop it for the rest of your life. So... why not just wait until you see more clear signs that your hairline might be deteriorating before taking stuff. If you start shedding, you can always hop on some meds later on.

forgot to mention i am on finasteride and nizoral for about 6 months now, I did;nt notice any difference since i started but, apart from one new black hair on my hairline ha.

I dont mind committing to meds if i can keep what i have i'll be happy, but i see what you are saying i should of giving it more of a chance to progess to see where things are going.

My scalp feels good apart from now because i am thinking is it itchy ha.

Thanks very much for replys any other comments welcome.

NW2 imo

looks like a mature hairline with a very thick crown and anterior scalp

finasteride should help to maintain your hair situation

mature hairline
no male pattern baldness

no treatment needed IMHO. Couldn't hurt to use nizoral though.

Thanks for comment, i think they look the same aswel although its hard to tell because they are not geat pictures.

the pictures do a small bit of justice it looks worse from the front because i've always had a high hairline then a bit of receeding or mature hairline or whatever make its worse, but i think its holding so see how things go, ( i blame the barbers for butchering my fringe haha)

thanks again.

Mate, your hair is exactly the same. You don't even have male pattern baldness.

Thanks for reply,

Thats the best reply I could ever have hope for ha, but i think the pictures do my hair some justice. It looks to me like Der is no change also, but there is still recession on the hairline, maybe it could be a mature hairline if that exists. And one side of the corners is higher than the other

You have the early beginnings of male pattern baldness

"Mature hairline" is baldness, it's just socially acceptable and more widespread. NW2.5+ is when you begin to hit the unacceptable line

IMO u don't have a problem. Whatever u do, DON'T HOP ON finasteride! You will certainly get side effect for nothing. U can use some minoxidil to fill your temples if u want.

Try washing with nizoral and some other gentle natural shampoo afterwards. Or buy a much more expensive Revita.

And def buy some Zinc 50mg + Vitamin D3 1000-2000ui/day especially in autumn/spring when hair is recycling. You can try taking Omega 3-fish oil; and be sure u take from pills or food the certainly recommended amounts of vitamin A, B6 and B9 - their good for hair too.

Later edit: I see you're on meds. It rec that if u're on finasteride to stay on it. It could cause a massive shedding if u quit.
