...or 'cherry flavored finasteride water' from parents. Something just reeks of parentally-inspired placebo at best. Homicide at worst.

Watch your back, Tommy. I think you're getting whacked.

Yup, and then replaced with a BEAUTIFUL, obedient Stepford Child that never talks out of line, asks questions, or sheds one d*mn hair.

Macdruid, ever seen the movie 'Gattaca'?

One of my favorite flicks. It's a slow and plodding movie, a bit stiff and over-acted. But, the underlying concept is fascinating and a flick that I wish a lot more people would see. Pick it up.

Gattaca, I love that film, I really like slow plodding empty films (no joking!) also Speilbergs AI was another favourite of mine.

It was that mention of shedding a hair that got you, wasn't it?

I really like Gattaca. I just re-watched that last month when a friend wanted to see it and since you've reminded me I might pop it in now for some background entertainment. I suppose it is a bit "slow" some might say but it's got a good style and feel to it.

My mom has been acting a little sketchy lately, just the other day I woke up in the middle of the night to her stalking over my sleeping body with an axe, but don't worry. It turns out she was just going to take a hair sample to measure the width of my hair at the bulb. Nothing alarming.

Check your shoes in the morning, my mother used to put little bombs, she had been up all night making, into them.

Tommy, we are worried about you... but lovin your new avatar! Let us know how the meds work for you, and most especially keep tabs on your scalp condition. When you start new hair meds, it is something you should pay attention to in my opinion. Oh, that, and pick up the movie 'Gattaca' and watch it. The very last scene in the movie before they board the spaceship is a classic. Cheers!

The magic juice used to dissolve my proscar is cherry syrup.

HUH? Is the pharmacist aware that finasteride isn't water-soluble?? As Bis pointed out, it's soluble in fats and alcohol. I suppose it might be ok to have a SUSPENSION of finasteride in cherry syrup, as long as it stays suspended. Did the pharmacist tell you to shake the bottle prior to each use?

yes, I am suppose to shake the bottle before every usage.

Well, it all makes perfect sense now. Obviously, a pharmacist isn't as likely to dissolve it in alcohol and then tell you to take a swig of it every day! He's going to do something relatively benign, like suspending it in syrup, even if you have to remember to shake it up each time...
