Hey guys, new here; I started Dutasteride last October after having been on Finasteride for a year and a half (good results, maintaining my hair mostly); AM I "PUSHING" IT TOO MUCH, in your opinion?

I'll dismiss Finasteride when Duta's completely effective - 6 months frame - next May then, and I'll be on Duta only, since I think it would be useless to keep being on finasteride too.

It's fair you know I'm a dense NW2, I'm 23 and I'm considering a dense-packing fut on hairline in the next future (with Rahal), but my thinning isn't major, just some thinning temples (which makes my hair loss m-spahed) and a bit on the hairline density.

How long until you expect to see any results from the dutasteride? Just started a similar regimen myself and started taking dutasteride three times a week, three weeks ago.

I'm taking the full daily dose - 0.5 Avodart everyday plus 1.25 finasteride.. is this a strong/sustainable regimen?

I think you can drop fina soon because it is overkill combined with duta.

Why fut ? I would rather go with fue!

What you mean "it's overkill combined with duta"? You mean it's dangerous for my balls and stuff? Actually my body isn't being affected that much by that, only some extra-tiredness but I can deal with it..

Honestly, as long as you aren't losing ground I think you should just "milk" Finasteride for as long as you can. If sh*t starts to hit the fan then get on dutasteride.

Yeah but my main concern is: how the hell did Dutasteride manage to make your hair loss worse?? It's so much stronger than Fina it should do the job better..

Please ANSWER ME about this point cause I'm currently switching to Duta myself

You're wrong, I'm on month 3 but Dutasteride takes 6 months to become effective, this is why I keep on taking Fina too, to avoid losing my benefits actually

dont be ridiculous, lacey is right and you are wrong. 6 months? I had VERY visible results in less than 6 weeks on dutasteride.

Hope Duta will regrow a strong hairline, it's thinning now cause of the telogen effluvium.. And I hope I made the right choice to switch to Dutasteride.. AND in Japan it hasn't been approved yet, just in case somebody's going to bring this up
