I don't think your barber can take the blame for this. With your hair type, it's almost impossible to hide your thinning crown with any kind of cut, especially when you have your hair this short. Some hair fibers might help you out here, or like you said, you could shave it. You're hair is already very short at it is. Shaving it down another few inches wouldn't look so drastic.

Idk, one guy at my job got busted recently apparently. I’d totally be willing to do sth drastic like that (or shave my head) if i didnt have to work. I might have to find a new job while i go through this awkward transition phase: my coworkers were used to seeing me with thick youthful hair and i don’t want to have to answer any difficult questions or be gossiped about.

Nope, i’m a realist. Losing your hair makes you less attractive to women and changes how people treat/perceive you for the worse, even in the most mundane interactions. The more attractive and youthful looking you are (i.e. college age) the better in our society

Hop on finasteride now and stay on it if you can handle it. A couple years ago my hair looked similar to yours. I still have a perfect hairline, but my scalp on top has definitely thinned.

I couldn't handle finasteride when I took it, but I'm thinking about trying it again.
