My year of hairloss - where can I go now??

I started to notice that I was losing my hair around this time last year (well actually my friends noticed my receding hairline!). Aftet a couple of months I noticed that my hair was thinning quite quickly - and I began to research various solutions to the problem. I was aware that this was probably heriditary, seeing as my father (and his father) both have no hair! I should have seen it coming to be honest, but i really didn't think I was this unlucky.

I started using Spectral DNC. I don'y know why - I had read loads of good stuff about it - so it seemed like a good choice at the time. I used it for about three months, and to be honest I could not tell what it was doing. My hair loss seemed to slow down, but i don't think it stopped. I decided that maybe this was not the best remedy, so I changed to the extra strengh rogaine/regaine, and started to take procepia as well. I did not notice any real difference... but i continued to use both. After a while I began to think that this was all pointless and both regaine and procepia where not slowing down my hair loss at all. My hair is now very thin, to the point where i can see my scalp quite clearly. Further to this, the regaine had made my scalp itchy and red. It got to the point where it was annoying me so much I simple gave up and stopped using EVERYTHING. I just thought... screw it!!! Why do I evevn bother???

So I just need some advice if anyone can help. Should I got back to Spectral DNC, try something else. Just use procepia? Any guidence would be really appreciated!!

Nizoral is an anti-inflamatory shampoo that is highly recommended. It might make a difference, but if you don't see any results, I don't recommend getting into this whole medication thing. It starts out simple enough but gets complicated and confusing real fast and could involve alot of costly trial and error, not to mention the possible sides. Be careful.

Pick some products and stick with them.

i think the reason there are so many stories of frustration on this site is because no one sticks with a product.

"Man! (Fill in the blank) is snake oil! I tried it for a month and it didn't do anything!"

Research all of the products..ask questions..even call or email the companies with Your questions. Then go with it and stay with it.

I tried Nisim and it sucked. I don't know if they still do, but they offered a money back guarantee and all. It wan't worth it for me to go through the mess of sending the bottle back. Like most people on this forum say, Nizoral is really the most effective shampoo. I'd say avoid special ordering Nisim and get some Nizoral at your local drug store.

I think you should give Propecia another chance. You have to take Before and After pictures to be totally impartial and it could take up to a year to see any noticable differences.
