My Year On Revivogen

Well I have been on Revivogen for over a year now. I started in February 2006. I have diffuse thinning on the top of my scalp. I started to notice my hair thinning when I was 21. I am 23 now.

After reading quite a few reviews on Revivogen (even though there were mixed reviews) I decided to try it out for 6 months mainly for maintenance and if I get any new growth it would be a bonus. Along with Revivogen I use:
> spironolactone for temples
> Dr. Lee's Shampoo 3 times a week
> Alpecin Caffiene Shampoo
> Emu Oil once a week
> MSM 5000mg daily
> Multivitamin daily

When I first started to use Revivogen I was pretty much shedding all the time, even now I still shed quite badly some times during the week. But my hair thickness has not changed, it has actually got better. So I think I have achieved my goal of maintenance. Hopefully it will stay the same.

I personally think that the earlier you use Revivogen there is probably a higher chance you will respond.

My only moan about Revivogen is that it is too expensive for the amount you get because 2ml per application is not enough for daily use. A 6 month supply lasts me around 4 months.

Anyway thats my Revivogen experience.

That is a good report!

Yes, if you use Revivogen all over the scalp it can be expensive... :thumbdown2:
I have been using it for six weeks on the hairline only.
I cannot tell anything yet.

I just got my revivogen order. Haven't used it yet. Do you also use minoxidil? I've just been using minoxidil for the past 2 months but want to work revivogen in, just curious if anyone does the same thing.

Been on minoxidil foam and Revivogen for a month now, and am seeing a slight improvement already. I did post a photo on here showing very bad staining, but there must have been something wrong with that bottle, as the second is not as bad, just a light brown stain.

Down the Drain, I agree with you about Revivogen. First of all it takes a good year to see how well it works. Its best for only people with early diffuse thinning. I think people do not give it long enough chance. And some will do well with it and some won't just like every other treatment.

Hi jman76. I decided not to use Minoxidil because I thought that it would probably best to use it as a very last alternative if no other topical worked for me. Plus I am quite lazy when it comes to topicals and I just wanted one topical that I could use in the evenings before bed.

To be honest I haven't really noticed any staining after I washed my hair. I do get staining after I applied it to my scalp. I wash my hair with Loreal for Men as a prewash and then Alpecin (or Dr. Lee's Shampoo).

I totally agree with you DoctorHouse. I have seen on the forum that there have been quite a few mixed reviews on Revivogens effeciveness. I just thought that if Propecia users say that it takes around a year for you to get some results, then it could apply to Revivogen. To be honest the Revivogen results timeframe did not apply to me (http://www.revivogen.com/revivogen/expect.html) because I didn't really expect to have increased hair fullness within 6 months. I think I started to get some results in month 9-10.

Exactly. Your picture is not AT ALL how my Revivogen looks like on my scalp... it's more brownish.

That's why I've taken the photo off. Wouldn't want to misslead anyone. I read somewhere on the Revivogen website, that due to it being a natural product there will be slight differences, just unlucky with that one bottle I guess.

DowntheDrain or anyone else that can help.....

I am planning to purchase the Revivogen Scalp treatment for my treatment, but it seems like from your posts that it might be too late for me, however I am still willing to give it a whirl, since I am a newbie to all of the meds and from my research I dont want to go down the finasteride path.

Please check out my story with pics, any advise on how you think Revivogen will help or not help my situation will be appreciates since I intend on purchasing the treatment within the next couple of days:
http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=44703

Also, since I plan my regiment to be:
-Revivogen
-Rogaine Foam 5%
-Nizoral

Im a bit confused on how to use all of this? Any suggestions from anyone?
Do I need to get revivogen shampoo and conditioner and if so how do I work nizoral into it if it is a shampoo too. (Use them both...sorry Im confused) Or do I just purchase the revivogen scalp treatment and not purchase the shampoo or conditioner and use that with nizoral??

On top of that when whould I use the Rogaine....

sorry for all the questions guy, but as you can see from my story things have gotten really bad, really quickly and anything I can do to atleast attempt to maintain what I have would be great.

Just wanted to get some advice from some Revivogen users....thanks in advance!!!!

For omarrodriguez:

Sadly, I think it is too late to use Revivogen my friend. I think it only works with people who are in the early stages of diffuse hair loss. :(

As beaner stated above you will get more regrowth from using Rogaine.

Hey guys thanks for the comments. Staring at my photos late last night after I posted the thread and prior to your comment, and in complete haste.... I ordered the Revivogen Scalp therapy 3 month package. So I guess we'll see if there is any hope for this baldy! :(

I use nizoral once a week, Revivogen shampoo / conditioner every other night. That could be a decent Shampooing regime.

Sammo

p.s. still havn't seen major revivogen results yet.
