Don't call me chief and Lee sells it because it works. He has not been labeled a scam artist to my knowledge.

Cassin,

Did you read the explainations that I wrote earlier in this thread about how the Ket in nizoral actually reduces Testosterone in the scalp? Dr. Lee said that Nizoral will help reduce DHT in the scalp when I visited him. Words out of his mouth. But it is fairly proven that Nizoral does have some antiadrogenic properties.

"Nizoral shampoo is a shampoo containing the antifungal medication Ketoconazole 2%. Jassen Pharmaceutica manufactures Nizoral shampoo. Nizoral has been thought to help with hair loss for several years due to anecdotal reports by users as well as studies showing Nizoral might help lower male hormone levels related to hair loss. The shampoo is generally used to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

Ketoconazole, the active ingredient in Nizoral shampoo is an anti-fungal agent which has also been shown to lower serum testosterone when taken in the tablet form. Ketoconazole exerts its effect by altering the fungal cell membrane. As a result, some people with Androgenetic alopecia use Nizoral shampoo to help reduce testosterone levels around hair follicles.

A recent article in the magazine Dermatology compared the use of Minoxidil 2% (Rogaine, Regaine) to Nizoral 2%. The study indicates that Nizoral shows a similar response of growing hair to Minoxidil 2%. Many reports have indicated that Nizoral is "definitely a good shampoo for thickening hair" and for hair regrowth. "

Yes I did, and note he used the word "might". He also noted that the tablet form helps reduce DHT. Also at what potency does Ket reduce DHT in this form? Does it lose it's benefits at 1% or 2% in the shampoo? Thats all I am saying. All I am questioning is the DHT part of Nizoral. Not the other benefits.

Heh, sorry bro.

Hell I wish I could use the stuff. I really do. I don't think it will make or break my routine, but I really believe it would help if I didn't react to it so bad. I can't seem to handle anything like it, T/SAL or even T/GEL. Makes me itch too bad and it makes my scalp red.

Yes cross, for most people 1% is sufficient. As long as you give it a few weeks to work and you eliminate any itching, you know its done its job.

Quick question then gourmetstylewellness.com...If 1% is enough which is what I use then why the need for 2% is there a real benefit to using the higher dosage????

Its pretty basic logic. If the 1% doesn't work and you still have irritation, you can graduate to the 2%.

Not sure where the confusion comes in for you.

I am sure that my previous post about purchasing products from ur site has pissed u off!
Which is why u take a negative approach to all I write I would be happy to make an apology to you gourmetstylewellness.com and state this as a post!
.....a simple question which is fair to ask ur advice in that u stated 1% is sufficient enough to another poster...I use nizoral for its benefits of ketaconzale against hairloss...My question is just stating if the 1% does the job is there any need to move up to 2% as a major benefit...seeing as it can cause so much irritation in some..

simple question...simple answer...isnt that logical enough....

I also know that is best used in conjunction with other treatments such as a help to minoxidil's harshness...so no need to state these.
