N00b here trying to fight the good fight and I have a few questions that may seem dumb but I can't find answers anywhere - so go easy on me.
I'm 40. Probably a NW2. I have had a good run but my temples are going fast and the front seems to be getting thin...
I've been on finasteride for 6mo (split into 4th's for the ~1.25mg). I see new hair sprouts - and thats good - but I am still loosing hairs during the shower and when I put product in my hair. I feel that the amount of hairs lost is still around 100/day.
Now my questions
1. When on finasteride...are you supposed to still loose the standard 100 hairs per day? Or would it be less?
2. I also just started using a daily-ish Keto shampoo called Revita. However, its leaving my hair very dry and I am wondering if I just use Nizoral 2 days a week would that be any better?
2a. If I used Nizoral what would be a good shampoo for the other 5 days?
3. One last question...I am a product guy, I need goop to tame the mane and I always used a pomade but I think that may be too harsh. Does it matter? Are there better products to leave in than others. Any suggestions? Gels? Mouse?
Oh, and my pecker is working great and no side effects from the finasteride. So unless the side effects strike later I think Im in the clear.
