I was reading Dr Proctors website, and saw those pics of the NANO Shampoo user who used it for 8 months and got fantastic results.

So question is.. Why isn't everyone here trying it by itself? Or at least people who have enough hair to experiment?

Is using NANO Shampoo to maintain hair, or even regrow THAT unlikely?

People? Thoughts?

Ok I have been using NANO for maybe three weeks now. So really cant say much. But here is what I experiences.

Dont know about long term, but on the day I apply NANO my hair looks THICKER. ( Note the upper case). OTOH the NANO causes a lot of hairloss for me. while applying it and then while applying the conditioner and then while combing the hair after applying NANO. I compare the hairfall with the days I apply nizoral 1% which is supposed to be more harsher and H&S shampooes. So, surely it causes more hairfall I dont know why ( an increase from 25-30 to 50-60 ). I will be using the bottle I have and if I see the same rate of hairfall, I think I am gonna ditch it

I have come to the conclusion that while I love the nano shampoo, I don't really care for the nano conditioner. The conditioner smells like some cheap perfume now - it didn't use to when I used it a couple of years ago. It also leaves my hair a little flat compared to using the shampoo by itself.

I saw that you said this in another NANO-related thread. Can anyone else confirm whether or not NANO caused increase in hairfall?

yeah..the first few times I applied it, I thought it was just coincidence. But then I did very extensive comparison. Applied nizoral, H&S, Jason's, NANO and saw the hairfall. NANO was way ahead. I also tried applying different things on diff days. What I mean is I thought maybe nizoral applied the previous day was causing hairfall on the NANO day. So I applied NANO on 3-4 days consecutively and everyday hairfall was more. Anyways, it does cause more hairfall for me. Then again, Everyone his own

Well the original post, first post, alot of people have tried NANO shampoo. I have tried it as well. I can say that it DID cause hair fallout. I used it for about 6 months and saw no results at all.

It actually made my hair look like a pile of hay on my head. I wasn't impressed by it and it did nothing for hair loss or hair maintenence. That's just me though.

After the comments on this thread about NANO shedding I started paying more attention and I too noticed a somewhat higher fallout rate than with my other shampoos - Tricomin, 2% nizoral and Jason's Thin to Thick. So, I decide to improvise.

What I have done with remarkable results is apply Tricomin shampoo to my scalp, lather and then apply a small mount of NANO shampoo to the mix. I lather in the NANO shampoo with the Tricomin shampoo and leave the smorgasbord on my scalp for a few minutes then rinse. I then apply Tricomin conditioner (which I love), leave that on for a few, then rinse and gently towel dry.

While my hair is still somewhat damp, I shoot on a few spritzes of American Crew spray, comb it through my hair and let it dry.

The results are virtually no fallout and a thicker and fuller feel and appearance to my hair. More small hairs are also sprouting up all over the place.

I cant believe that we call other products such as P-R-O-C-E-R-I-N as fake but we then buy shampoos that cost 50 bucks and has been proven to do nothing.....

I think you meant "has not been proven to do anything" because it certainly hasn't been proven to "do nothing." Also it's $39 i think, not $50 :)

Anyway I seriously want to cream my pants everytime i run my fingers through the hair on the back of my head after I've shampooed with NANO, without conditioner - it's like this thick furry rug!

Also you can make one tube last a very long time and i like the idea that it's at least a potential bonus.

Well it doesn't lather like normal shampoos, so i tend to be a bit firmer when trying to massage it into my scalp. You might be doing the same, and dislodging more hairs this way...

How exactly are you all quantifying "double the hairfall"? Also, are you saying that you are losing this hair or that it's simply shedding and coming back? Has your hair improved or deteriorated over time with NANO? That's the ultimate question I believe.

I have a shipment of NANO coming in, but at this point I'm thinking of not using it.

Try using a normal shampoo first to remove all the oild or dirt, then rinse, then use NANO. See if that makes a difference....

Indeed. And because we all know that the duration on the scalp is undoubtedly an important factor in this case, I suspect that all of us are really good about leaving it on there for a considerable amount of time, while frequently scrubbing. We probably loosen more hairs when using NANO than we do when using other "ordinary", unmedicated shampoos! :)

Are you calling Dr. Proctor a fraud or a charlatan? He's quite emphatic about NANO as a hairgrowth stimulator. He says it DOES work as he claims. Of course, that doesn't mean that a given individual can't have a sensitivity to some specific drug...

Maybe because it's supposed to be a growth stimulator, it will cause a slight shed like minoxidil does in the early months of application? Anyway, I am giving it a 6 month to a year trial. I'm only in my 3rd month and I do see some increased shedding, but it does seem to make my hair 'feel' thicker.

Well, I think I am just putting down my experiences with NANO. I always mention that fact that after I apply it my hair looks really thick which is good. But then it causes more hairfall...and not only while applying but also while I comb my hair.

I personally feel Dr. P is a great guy with lots of great stuff . This is the reason I am still continuing with NANO even though I am sure it makes my hair fall like crazy.

You hair will fall out faster. I had the same problem.
