Need advice about FUE transplant...

Hi!

I`m in need of some good advice. At the moment I`m considering a FUE transplant. I have had a diffuse thining the last year or two, especially in the crown and receding in the front. I guess I`m a number one on the Norwood-scale. My elderly brother (35) has s bald crown now, and I can see that I`m headed in that direction if I dont act upon on it now.

I have some problems posting pictures here, but I`ll try to glue something in here...

I`m considering a FUE since I hear that there are no scars after this method.

The reason why I`m considering a transplant now is that I really want my old hairline back (I`ve never had a really low hairline, but I can see that it`s starting to reced now at the age of 27). With the current progress in a "cure" (meaning unlimited supply of donor-hair) I think that at I might go trough with a transplant now. If I do it now and keep using Propecia etc (read my regime at the bottom of the text here) I hope that I will have a thick and good hair for the next 5-10 years. And I really think that the Scientist would come up with a cure within these years (Might be a fools hope, but with the focus these days - thinking about Acell and Histogen - I could bet a lot of money that someone will come up with some kind of cure.

Is it a really dumb idea to take some hair and thicken up parts of the frontals and the crown? Talking about 2500 hairs maximum. I read that a lot of people do it, both celebs as (maybe Hayden Christensen, Beckham, Brady), so one might start to think that it`s not such a dumb/dangerous idea. I guess I have enough hair for yet another transplant in the future as well.

My regime these days are as follows:

Propecia
Rogain (one-two times a day)
Vitamin B
Fungoral shampoo (2-3 a week)
Bio-Biloba (herbs for the smaler bloodvains in the body - the head, feet etc) - every day.
Different kind of herbs and tea.
Lot of healthy excerise and food.
Massaging the head every night before I go to bed.

If you are receding you are not a Norwood 1

Don't get a hair transplant HOPING SOMETHING WILL COME OUT IN THE FUTURE !

HM has been "right around the corner " for 10 years and we still have nothing.

If you post photos it would help.

Consult with a Dr like Feller, Shapiro or H+ W and see what they say, don't let ANY DR talk you into lowering your hairliine and PLAN on nothing ever coming along to increase donor hair, if it does it's a bonus, if it doesn't at least you don't have a dense packed hairline with nothing behind it like all the 20 somethings who were scammed by Armani

I`ve been trying to post pictures here, but it doesnt seem to work. I`ll give it a go later. I sendt in some photos to HW and Dr. Umar. They said that my hairloss was minor to my age, and especially HW did not want to do anything at this point. Dr. Umar did only say that my hairloss was minor. He did`nt say anything about that he did not want to do an treatment on me.

I dont want to lower my hairline, but do it a bit thicker where it is at this moment. The same thing with the crown. At this moment it seems like my crown area is responding a bit to the Propecia/Rogain.

The thing is that I did do a lot of weightlifting from around 23 years of age and until last year. In combination with Creatine it seemed like this boosted the whole thing. Looking at my brother (who is now 35 - I can see that he has a more or less balding sport in the crown and some thining in the frontals, but he has always had problems with dandruff, a bad diet etc) I do eat a lot of healthy food and do a lot of sports (not weightlifting).

As seen on the pictures (that hopefully uploaded completely) the lightning is a bit bad.

Listen to H+ W as they are honest, send a photo to Matt at Ron Shapiros office and I bet he will tell you the same thing.

If lifting and creatine cause hairloss I would look like Kojak ! Neiter effect your hair

BTW H+W doesn't do FUE. Your best bet for FUE is Feller, Shapiro, or Cole. STAY AWAY from Armani

In fact if you want to do an experiment send your pics to Feller and Shapiro, chances are they agree with Jotronic (H+W) and say to wait.

Then send you pics to Armani. I bet Armani reccomends surgery now, probably 1500 grafts or more. They are thiefs with ZERO ETHICS !

Thanks! I guess I`ll send a photo to Shapiros office as well just to hear what they have to say. I have already had an appointment with another office and they said that they might be able to do the treatment, but they only want to fill in where there are clear spots where the density is not that good, not make the hairline any lower or anything like that. They are very clear on that, and I start to feel a bit comfortable with that and that they are honest. I dont want to lower the hairline, only get it more dense. They are also talking about how to put the hairs in, and that they will not put the transplanted hair to close to the excisting hairs, cause that can make the present hair fall out. This seems fair to me.

My hairloss is`nt that bad, but it slowly receds. I saw it a couple of years ago, butit hasnt changed that much since, and I have always had some kind of frontals. I`m not 27, turning 28 next summer, so I guess I have to expect some kind of hairloss, but if I dont do anything (neither propecia etc), I will have a bald crown within my mid 30s.

A FUE transplant doesnt make any scars (of significance) does it?

By the way, are anyone else having problems posting pictures? I have tried several times now, and it only show a blank white page. Is it anything I do wrong?

When it comes to creatine and hairloss...I`m not sure, but might it be more individual if it leads to hairloss? I dunno:)

By the way: Is it right that Propecia makes some of your hair grow back? Or does it only make the hairs that is still there grow in thicker? And the effect of Rogain is the same? Neither of them has any effect on the frontals?

I have grown hair at my hairline and filled in my crown with finasteride/Foam and nizoral. I use 2 cans of foam a month and use it hairline to crown as I have had growth everywhere.

Be very carefull transplanting into existing hair, no Dr can 100% predict permanent shock loss so you could end up losing hair when it's said and done.
