In considering between tricomin and folligen? Also, where to purchase and how/when best used would also be helpful?

Thanks in advance guys.

Tricomin is supposedly more effective - proven in FDA trials but more expensive than Folligen.
I just bought Folligen and believe the recommended usage is 4-5 days per week. Some here use it every alternate day and apply it after a shower.
Some have complained of redness and 1 possibility is to dilute the Folligen with distilled water. Some use it in 50-70% concentration. Also cheaper that way.
Personally, will try it in full concentration and see if there are any sides like inflammation before deciding whether to dilute.

Folligen is messy, but lasts for a long time. It also itches and may slightly burn your scalp...

Tricomin is extremely nice, refreshing, and goes on clean. It leaves no residue, and you'll notice the effects on the hair after a few weeks. I definitely recommend it if you can afford the extra $15 difference.

Okay, I think I'll go with the tricomin. When is the best time to apply it if I only want to use it once a day - AM/PM? Before/After minoxidil?

Thanks.

I've actually been thinking of switching to tricomin myself. But I plan to use it every other day. Hanna over at skinactives got me worried about over use damage. I suspect any amount will help some. I just don't know the optimal dose. I think CPs just repair fibrosis, and the less you use, the longer this will take, but as long as you stop the fibrosis, you will get there eventually. I think less means cheaper and less risk of overdosing. I'll still use up my folligen and ac spray, but I don't like either. They both make my hair a bit residuy.

I'm not really sure on the dosage, I have both the lotion and the spray and the spray stings my head while the lotion doesn't. I'm thinking the spray must be a higher concentration, unless it's just that the top of my head is more sensitive than my hairline. I use the lotion every day...I hope I'm not overdosing :p

I'm also using Tricomin spray once a day and it's the easiest and least messy of all the topicals to apply. It also gives your scalp a refreshing feel. I also remember someone mentioning that it gave betters results than minoxidil during the FDA trials. CCS, can you elaborate on the dangers of overusing it?
