NEED HELP! 19M hair is getting worse

I'm 19 years old started lossing hair at 18. I noticed itchiness and scalp pain from start of my hairloss. I started taking finestride and minoxidil on dec 2021 and got good improvement within 2 months , itchiness and scalp pain went away. After month 3 I noticed my hair is falling again and itchiness and scalp pain is 2x more compared to pre finasteride also with oily scalp. I also had acne at shoulders, chest and back, it disappeared after taking finasteride and min but now it also came back. Now I'm losing more hair than pre finasteride and my hair noticably worse compared baseline. Most of my hair is diffuse thinning even sides but not sure. I went from a straight hairline to kinda M shaped hairline with noticable temple ressison. My hair feels very thin and losing its orginal colour. I had thick black hair before. Everything happened in just 5 months. Now I'm on month 7. Don't know what to do , sucidal thoughts starts to kick in. I'm completely depressed and stopped leving my house. Can dutasteride help me? Need help!

If finasteride did that to you don’t even consider dutasteride. Some people react badly to finasteride. Unless it was a shed and you didn’t give finasteride enough time to work but the acne sounds suspicious.

Man, hairs have long cycles. Panicking at 2 months is just stupid, it’s a shed. When first starting finasteride and min, the sheds are way more common at least they were for me, two within the first year.

As for the itching, get on Nizoral/ketaconazole 2% shampoo. Minoxidil itself causes scalp irritation and increased itching.
