Need help badly :(

Hi All,

I am new to forum and need help from senior members. I am 30 Yeras old and loosing my hair from last 6 yeras. I had thicker and full hair but now it is gone and it is thining.
I would like to start treatment so please suggest. I am not willing to take finasteride due to sideeffects so please provide me any alternate.

I searched internet and thinking to take hairomega 3 in 1 oral pill and Lipogaine for Men ( 5% Minoxidil ) for tropical use. Please let me know if these will have any side effects ?

And please also let me know is it male pattern bladness? I am in big dilema

I have taken pics with full hair and wet trimmed hair. Please guide.

I'm not a Doctor, but it sure looks like male pattern baldness. The things is finasteride/dutasteride are the onlyy things which can hopefully stop the hair loss from progressing, so if you take a growth stimulant such as Rogaine it may regrow hair, but it will not stop your baldness from progressing.

Not true- Avodart is an alternative to propecia that my dermo put me on after Propecia was not working. Although it reportedly has its own side effects, but I never experienced side effects on either drug. (haven't noticed any benefit either, but at least no side effects!)

there are alternatives - but few, if any, will actually work. And only two have been officially confirmed as treatments for male pattern baldness: Propecia and Minoxidil. minoxidil won't stop the underlying cause of male pattern baldness.

There is as Blondguy said, Dutasteride - but that is apparently risky- due to its strength, and it hasn't been officially sanctioned as a hairloss treatment.

So yes, there are no real alternatives - currently - unless you're happy throwing your money away on unproven snake oils like so many do, or you can afford the thousands needed for a hair transplant

the point is, if you want to keep your hair - and definitely have male pattern baldness - you pretty much have to get on Finasteride

I'm surprised your Derm prescribed dutasteride since it's not an officially recognised hair loss treatment. Not saying it's bad that he did, just surprising.

You want to simply the field of hair loss solutions, but its not that simple. Nothing is "risk free" hell even propecia is now getting links to cancer! We all come here a choose what risks we will take, and looking at all the options and evaluating them individually is something everyone should do in determining their own plan.

OK but how long were you taking Propecia for before the Derm put you on Avodart?

I had taken propecia for 13 months and had no sides, have been on dutasteride for nearly 3 months now and no sides either although I haven't really seen any improvements though... if anything I am still shedding like crazy
