so

i have strated taking spironolactone few days ago
just 25mg a day for now, but i intend to increase it up to 100 in a course of a few months...

ive been doing some reading and read that spironolactone can lead to hyperklamia (something like that.. which mean too much potassium in the body) which is very - very dangerous.

potassium is in almost every food i eat -
tomatoes, orange juice, carrot juice, lots of leafs, and much more..
i cant and dont really want (because of the health in dose foods) to stop eating them ...

i want to know - from the experienced spironolactone guys out there, how did it effected you..
have you been through regular blood tests to check if everything is alright ?

i dont really want to stop spironolactone either, but i cretainly dont want to suffer too much potassium which can lead to severe heart problems ...

what do you think ?

Just try to lower the amount of Potassium you eat in foods and you should be fine. spironolactone is prescribed to many people including men as a diuretic at dosages in the 25mg range. Once you go over 100mg it becomes an anti androgen and kills testosterone which isn't healthy at all for obvious reasons. Once spironolactone has had the chance to do anything hair wise you are already well on your way yo getting gyno and a shrunked manhood so it is a completely pointless med for men to take unless you are a tranny or okay with tits and a wrecked c***.

well..
i have 90 days supply of tamoxifen just in case of any gyno will develop..
infertility on spironolactone is reversable once you stop, and from many testimonies i havent read of a lot of ppl getting smaller balls or such... its mostly gyno when the dose is at the 200mg a day range... and for that i have tamoxi...

as for the potassium
im a bit calmer now as i thought this through and decided that just to be safe ill monitor my blood regularly once every 4-6 months, and if potassium levels will rise too much ill just ask for the Doctor to prescribe me something that'll bring it down to normal...
i just hope he/she wont freak out when they'll hear im taking spironolactone lol...
docs here are quite conservative .. ;]
