ive been on propecia for around 8 months. ive been hearing that dutasteride is more effective. what happens if i switch now? My hairloss has stabilized pretty well, except in the front which is still getting it a bit. im more worried about the front than the back. is dutasteride more effective enough on the front to warrent switching when costs and effects of stopping propecia are considered. thanks

dutasteride is supposed to be a lot stronger - but I think the current thinking is to give finasteride it's 1 - 2 year shot first. If you're not happy after giving finasteride an opportunity to do its thing - then make the jump to dutasteride.
