Need help with dermmatch - washes out with water

So, I received my two first discs of dermmatch today and I'm really excited about the results. However when my hair got wet, brown water (from the powder) ran down my face which means it washed out with water alone. This was thankfully in a controlled setting.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, as I don't really know much to apply etc. I'm also using a hair styling product.

Could you give some quick guidelines?`

:dunno:

Maybe its the styling product, I always have to shampoo it out.

I sometimes even shower with Dermmatch (without shampooing my hair) and it doesn't come off. It only comes off with shampoo so I'm guessing you are doing something wrong. Demmatch is totally safe.

Yeah, I suppose I'm doing something wrong. Problem is that I don't have any guidelines/references as to how much I should apply.

theres a trick to applying dermatch...

You need a tiny bit of water on the applicator, i mean like a drip... i normally let the tap run, turn it off then use the excess water left in the sink bowl, thats how little you need.

Go around the dermatch (once you wet the applicator) in circular motions then apply. You'll notice it goes on alot thicker and has alot more 'staying power' shall we call it!

Let me know how you get on.... one tip... be careful or bright lights in restaurants etc, if yr hair is thin like mine at the front someone will notice! Trust me, its a very uncomfortable situation!

This is why I love Couvre...the correct amount of just enough to darken white scalp frontal and darker in back to cover crown. No issue in bright lights!! I love it! Never had a obvious notice where someone looked at my scalp intentionally in 13 years (with 100% of scalp covered with it).

my dermmatch easily rinses off, and I don't use anything else. And bright overhead lights (like the sun) do give it away if it is not evenly applied everywhere your scalp shows.

after sleeping in bed all day, I discovered the dermmatch was no longer in my hair. I showered and it looked the same. So dermmatch is at least a daily thing, for me.

bingo, using too much water will cause it to run like mentioned.

Also, if you let it dry completely it will usually not wash out with water alone, but nothing is going to be perfect if you douse your hair with water.

Well yeah man, it should be considered something that needs to be applied daily. If you sleep with it in your hair without showering the natural oils, etc in your scalp will cause it to disapate. Its certainly not a 'long term' solution.
