Hi guys. I'm 23 years old.
I've been on finasteride for the last 3 and 1/2 years. I was on minoxidil in the first 1 or 2 years but dropped it. I have also been using nizoral.

When I began treatments I used to go here and read absolutely everything looking for miracles, but, after some months in, I guess the treatment worked well as I didn't worry that much about hairloss anymore and only came by the forum every couple months to check if some cure was already out there lol.

The problem is that now I am suddenly loosing a ton of hair again! My hairline is really receding back a lot. I'm already back on minoxidil but I'm not sure it is helping, and it doesnt do much against the causes for hairloss.

For what I see, there aren't any good options besides the "big 3" and I dont want to jump into dutasteride, i'm to young for that sh*t. I need some suggestions. There must be other stuff working. The other day I was at the local pharmacy and I saw around tons of different products for hairloss. They can't all be lying, I mean, there are regulations right?

I guess all this worrying about hairloss back is making me feel desperate. Please help me!

If you can afford it... I would say RU58841.

Eucapil may be worth your time too, and one guy got a lot of success by combining minoxidil, Folligen and Mega-Tek :)

Hope that helps ^_^

Hmmm yeah, inhibting an extra 28% DHT more than finasteride which may possibly save your hair and your too young for it.

Get on dutasteride. Or rub all sorts of chemicals on your head.

I was obviously refering to dutasteride's possible long term side effects. I see that you don't care about it but I do. I really want to stop hairloss but I'm a student and I don't have enough money to start on RU or fluridil which sucks. Can't really see a way out of this.

You won't take a drug approve safe by the FDA but rub an unknown chemical on your head which has only been tested on animals and certiainly gets systematic absorption?

It was approved safe for BPH, men at their 50's or 60's. Being a matter of living or death in some cases, who cares about sex problems or other ones, and at that age your levels of hormones are already so low that there is no much more to develop in your body anyways. In your 20's that is not true, and no one can guarantee that my body doesnt need DHT, and if supressing DHT at 70% is okay, at close 100% it is a whole different deal. I am not saying i am not going to go for dutasteride eventually since, as i said, i'm losing the battle, but it really worries me.
