Need Some Advice Regarding My Hairloss

Hi, I've posted previously regarding my struggles with hairloss. I'm a 20 year old asian male who has been noticing a particularly thin patch of my hair at the top of my head where my cowlick/spiral is. I first spotted it in October 2016 and it has been a year or so since then. My father is 58 years old and is probably on a Norwood 5/6. My hair has been very fine and soft and I'm not blessed with the thick full hair that many of my friends have, sadly. Here are some pics:

As I'm only 20 years old, I would like to know which options are the best for me. Currently, I'm seriously considering finasteride, but I am not so sure about how long it would be effective for (hopefully, for life). I don't give a crap about the side effects unless they are life threatening as I have no intentions of having kids/a partner due to personal reasons. Of course, in my 40's, I would be open to getting a hair transplant as well.

Hair loss at the age of 20 has been rather distressing for me and it really sucks. I'm desperate for a solution as I'm about to start college soon and I wanna enjoy my life in my 20s instead of worrying and being self conscious about my hair. Appreciate your inputs!

there are not plenty of options to halt hairloss right now finasteride is the only treatment we have which might include side effects and in RARE cases persistent,
research it yourself and make a decision based on what you truly want while taking account of the future, saying you dont want kids in your 20's is what everyone in our age would say

im 24 and reached thin nw3, i said back when i was 20 i wouldn't take finasteride but i ordered my first pills some days ago

remember hairloss doesn't have a "solution" it only has treatments and right now finasteride is the only way. Or you can ride it out and pray some new treatment comes out the following years before we all hit norwood cemetery

I don't hate kids, and would love to start my own loving family one day. However, I have a predisposition to certain genetic diseases, which is why I do not wish to have kids. Not because I'm some young punk and this is typical of people my age bla bla bla.

I would really wish to delay taking finasteride for as long as I can just so that by the time it loses the effectiveness, I would be much older, preferably late 40s/early 50s, and I can get a hair transplant or simply not give a crap about my hair then since most would have some form of hair loss by then.

Would you recommend me to take finasteride right now or do I have a couple more years to spare?

if you dont like the look of hair right now its best to jump on finasteride, i contemplated as well how long i can ride it out ( was thick nw2) and became thin nw3 in a matter of months. male pattern baldness is too unpredictable, for me at least
