Hi all,

I am 25 years old and live in Australia. My hair has been thinning at the crown and on top over the past 2 years and I have decided now is the time to take action. I still have a decent head of hair considering. I am considering using the following to combat hair loss and hopefully regrow some hair. Any advice and opinions would be appreciated as I have come here to get this off my chest and hopefully help have my mind made up on what to do.

I am considering:
Regaine topical solution (Same as Rogaine, different name in Aus)
Nizoral or Sebizole (also a 2% keto shampoo) to use twice a week
Sukin protein shampoo and conditioner (sulfate free and paraben free and natural ingredients) to use on other days.

I am aware of finasteride but not willing to go down that path at this stage.

I know it is different for everyone but I just want tips on if a regimen like this would be ideal to help with hair loss and if there are any possible side effects could follow with the use of Regaine and a 2% keto shampoo?

Does massaging the scalp have any positives?

I look forward to seeing your responses and hearing what worked for you and hopefully starting a successful regimen!

Cheers

go on nizoral and minoxidil immedialely. i'd keep a close watch on the temples and crown and if they start going downhill don't be scared to take the jump to propecia. the experience of hair loss is much worse than the sides.

Thanks for the response.

I have found another 2% keto shampoo that comes in 200ml bottles and costs less than nizoral 100ml 2% called Sebizole, made in New Zealand I believe. I assume that as long as keto is an active ingredient that it'll be as useful as nizoral?

I would never take finasteride I've read alot of bad reviews online from people saying they had bad sides after 5 or 10 years on it not worth the risk to your health

That's my concern with it. Long term effects can be somewhat severe and also increases the chance of prostate cancer I have read. Hair loss is one thing, long term health is another.

minoxidil & Nizoral will only slightly stall your loss. finasteride is the game changer, But yeah whether its worth risking the side effects is up to you.
