The problem is the inhibition of 5ar1.
As a reminder : a daily intake of 0.5mg of dutasteride decreases 5ar1 by 50%, and up to 80% for a 2.5mg dosage.
It may be more reasonable to take a lower dose than 0.5mg or to take dutasteride every other day or every third day, as it will inhibit roughly the same amount of 5ar2 but less 5ar1.

Well to counteract this, it may be necessary to exercise properly. Proper exercise is the only thing shown to naturally reduce insulin resistance.

Usually in these types of studies they look for an average person and the average nowadays is usually someone who is sedentary.

You can't make the assumption that people in the study had a sedentary lifestyle. I'm sure they didn't go around and pick a bunch of obese people either. They had a wide range of participants including men in their 20s.

Anyways I just think that anyone with a family history of diabetes should take note of this.
