Hey guys,
A little bit about myself. I'm 24 years old and for the past 6 months or so (since March) I've been feeling like my hair has less weight than it used to, feels softer, less resistant when I run a brush through it, and seems to blow around more in the wind. I tried throwing Nizoral into my shower time 2 or 3 times a week in April and it made my hair feel frizzy, thin, and lifeless so I stopped. Since then, it feels like my hair doesn't have the same "bounce" that it used to and just lays flat on my head. Noticed some burning and itching AFTER using Nizoral, which is still present but not as bad. I don't see much of a change in my hairline, I think it's looked this way since I was at least 17. Granted, I still have A LOT of hair. I'm just seeking advice and opinions, so if something is going on I can catch it early.
Some family history: my uncle on my moms side went NW7 bald in his late 20s/early 30s, other maternal uncle had thinning hair throughout his life not sure of the extent of it. Maternal grandfather had a head of hair (probably NW2 or 3) until he got cancer and passed away from it. Dad has a full head of hair at 60 and so does his brother. Paternal grandfather had a head of hair (Norwood 2 or 3) til the day he died.
Been trying to remain calm and assess the situation with care. Saw a dermatologist in May. She sucked. Basically looked at my hair for all of 15 seconds and shrugged her shoulders and said "hmmm, I don't know."
I've taken some pictures over time, sorry the lighting and camera aren't totally consistent. I've tried to do a combo of wet/dry pictures with my hair combed back or tousled back with my fingers. Let me know what you guys see. Is this early diffuse thinning? Just the way my hair parts?
