Hey all! I'm currently 22 and facing some hair loss issues. Here is a background.
My dad is bald (thick donor area- typical horseshoe) My mom has thick hair. My brother is 31, experiencing hair loss...prolly a NW4. Currently I'm a Norwood 2 (I've had the same hairline for about 2 years, but I just noticed thinning on the top in the last 4-5 months.)
Anyway, I just started on Avodart .5mg/daily exactly 1 month ago. To be honest I'm really hoping this will work. I still shed similar to what I shed before the Avodart...maybe slightly less. I read a lot of reviews that were very positive and didn't find too many negative ones.
I noticed some people use other products with dutasteride. I have noticed that the test results from dutasteride show the following:
90% DHT serum reduction. 55% scalp DHT reduction. (whats the diff, btw?)
What's the difference? Does this mean that I'll only keep 55% of my hair??? I noticed that Revivogen claims to reduce scalp DHT. Should I use that in conjunction with Avodart to reduce scalp DHT even more?
I'm going to wait a while before adding something, but I'm wondering why others did.
Also, if anyone has pics/successes with dutasteride or long term experiences please reply! anyone here on dutasteride for 3+ years? Progress?
