To be honest, there's a lot of guys on the forums who genuinely do care for the well being of others. Let's not pretend that guys like Noisette, Desmond and others havent gone out of their way to help out in any way they can. I'm sure that there are many researchers that have good intentions... and if copious amounts of cash is involved, all the more reasons to get a product out there.

I'm not saying that there aren't snake oil salesman like that Nigam guy, but you know.

irony you know ; )

To me personally I could be wrong but from my point of view Cots couldn't come up with anything amazing to cure hair loss so he basically took an idea people were already using made a fancy looking dermaroller that they could say was next gen and are commercializing it.

It mentions somewhere on their web page about setting up the phone app to re-order supplies. Re-order minoxidil through Follica? That doesn't sound like a solid business plan to try and compete with generic minoxidil suppliers. They do mention the word "compound", tho. I think it will be more than just minoxidil, or perhaps another compound altogether and especially if we have to have it applied in an office by a doctor after derma-rolling, I mean, laser perturbation. It could even be something that increases Fgf9 in the scalp since Bernat Olle mentioned it way back in 2013:

The next step is to test the effects of Fgf9 on human skin in xenograft models and then in the clinic. “If results hold up in humans, we could expect a several-fold increase in new follicles beyond what we were already accomplishing,” says Olle.

If I was a betting person, I might bet they've been testing some kind of compound that increases Fgf9 in the scalp.

They could add cinnamon sugar to it and call it a new better formula I just don't believe this wounding approach is going to return anyone who is fairly bald/balding to a natural density look and if that's the case since I'm fairly severely diffused even on the sides kinda I personally am not interested in buying a few more hairs. I totally hope I'm wrong but that's my opinion. If you need a little more density like the slightly thinning/diffuse I think this'll be your treatment. It may bring back the sparse hair you need to fill in the rest of your thinning areas but that's really all I believe this will do. I don't believe if you have any bald spots that this treatment is going to color that in unnoticably that's just not what I H see happening.
