Hey all. I've only recently realized just how much hair I have lost over the last year. I have plenty of hair in the back and all around, however I am really starting to thin in the front, going toward the back. As it is if i comb my hair down you can see bald spots all over the front, and combing it back makes it much less visible, but still there. My uncle is bald, only having hair on his sides. My father and his brother are both ok with hair, just general thinning with age, and balding in the crown area (back of the head on top is crown right? :p) My brother just had general thinning all over his head except sides, and eventually got to the point where he shaved his head. I cannot go without hair, as it doesn't fit my facial structure too well.

From reading the boards, it seems there are quite a few choices. For the moment I am going for non-prescription and nothing in pill form. Can anyone give me some suggestions for a regime to use.

At the moment I think I need:

Nizoral Shampoo
spironolactone Cream
Rogain Foam

Please let me know if any require prescription or anything, and whether something might be better? Also, whether its better to load from the start to get faster results, or to wait it out and go with one thing at a time?

Thanks in advance.

You're combo looks like a good strong choice of regime to me. spironolactone seems to be one of the best topicals you can use if you're not gonna get on finasteride or dutasteride.

Nizoral Shampoo
spironolactone Cream
Rogain Foam

Good luck bro.

I would add in Tricomin or the old formula of American Crew Revitalize Follicle Spray. That could further help you with thickening and regrowth.
