New Regimen Seems To Be Working - Vit B3

I've never started a thread before and feel I should share this.

I've used lots of different things over the last 20 years, some things worked some didnt.

finasteride maintained for me for a long time but I didn't like the sides.

I've used topical minoxidil for s few years intermittently but can't say if it did much at all...ie few years on then off etc.

Oral minoxidil worked great but I started experiencing some weird side effects so choose to discontinue.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I started a new regimen of morrat5% at night and spectral dnc in the morning. I haven't shed more than 2 hairs in about 2 weeks now.. no matter how much I scrub my head! I thought it must have been the spectral dnc and posted about it, but now I'm doubting this.

This is because about a month ago I was prescribed vitamin B3 (flushing) 2grams per day to combat my high triglycerides. Now I think that perhaps its the massive flushing thats keeping my follicles nourished. Anyway nothing to report in terms of regrowth yet, but its crazy I've never experienced such an eradication of shedding. And I still sometimes have the mbp itch.

Anyway B3 is cheap, I'm not selling anything here. Fingers crossed, ill update later. Good luck everyone.

Hmm... Could be getting rid of PGD2 in sufficient amounts to stop shedding. Too bad that's probably not a safe dose to take long term.

What do you mean with flushing? Do you take vit B3 pills?
Yea my doctor recommended I take 2 grams a day. So I just buy them from the health food store. I think the dosing schedule is important...ie I take 1 gram in the morning 1 in the evening with meals.

There's 2 types of vitamin B3 flushing and non-flushing. Flushing is probably whats helping. I'm still not shedding. This is pretty . My hair is super strong now.

Morr-f is a topical minoxidil and finasteride made commercially in India you can buy without prescription online.
I'm thinking about getting morr-f too.. Seems that people are getting results with it. Maybe Morr-f is helping you instead of B3? Are you diffuse thinner or receeder?

Yea i suppose its possible, but this didn't happen in the months before when I was using morr-f. I'm a diffuse thinner.

Interesting. So for how long have you used morr-f before you started b3?
I remember a post from like 8 years ago of a guy that swore niacin + flush stopped his hair loss and regrew his hair.
I tried it, and it didn't do anything at the time.
Still, I can see how it can help, we really know nothing.

I've used it for a few months. I think its the niacin though. This is gamechanging for me, I shed literally 1 or less hairs a day now.

Have you got used to the flushs? Also, is there something else you take? I wonder if it's safe long term.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t people see regrowth from seti too?

Also I heard niacin is bad for hair while niacinamide is protective

OP did not yet report seeing any regrowth, and inhibiting PGD2 is generally thought to, in an ideal scenario, only stop further hair loss.

I don’t think most saw maintenance too. Maybe because the seti wasn’t high quality enough

dont want to calm any spirit but 0,1 finasteride is 1mg of oral for any single ml you apply.
0,1% topical fina is not a low dosage at all. its the standard cure, so im not surprised it works, its a very effective drug.
