Hi guys, new here. I have recently been thinning big time on the top of my head. It has been going on for years now but really been noticeable as of late. It right at the top of my fore head where hair line starts. The rest of my hair is fairly thick.
What can I do to maintain what I have and possibly thicken what is thin. For the last year I Ave been using head and shoulders for thin hair, but from what I read that can speed up the losing process.

You need an anti-inflamatory (Nizoral shampoo 1% twice a week), a growth stimulant (rogaine/minoxidil) and a DHT blocker....

DHT is the main one and will stop the balding. You can go on propecia (finasteride) but wouldn't recommend due to side effects. I was on propecia but had to stop due to side effects. I have ordered a topical treatment called Revivogen that is a DHT and androgen blocker which seems to have some decent clinical studies behind it and has no side effects.

That is my regimen anyway, and i will be adding a HairMax LaserComb (the only FDA approved lasercomb) which is a growth stimulant.

Finasteride is your best bet, shampoos like revivogen will never completely maintain your hair.
