Nizoral claims that it has the same regrowth properties as Minoxidil. So why cant Nizoral be tried as a stand alone regime ? I have never seen people only be on Nizoral although it too claims to block DHT. Why is that ?

There are people who are on Nizoral only..
Actually, there are quite a few of them. Check Success stories section.
Some people get nice results.

If nizoral doesn't dry your scalp or make it itchy, why don't you just go with 2%?

My scalp feels different with 1% and 2%. 1% feels more like a normal shampoo to me, but with 2% I can feel the presence of keto. It's a strong medicine.

How do you feel the presence of keto?

I mean I can feel my scalp tingle, I don't get that feeling with 1%.

Tingle While you washing your with 2% right, not after hair is dry.
I get that feeling sometimes while I'm washing my hair with 1%.

Yeah that's what I mean... I don't get a burning feeling, or any discomfort. It's just that I can feel keto is doing something up there. That's one of the reasons why I don't use 2% everyday, it's strong stuff. The only thing is, I use conditioner with it or my hair feels dry afterwards.

I use nizoral very intermittently, ie whenever I feel like it, anything between 0-3 times a week. Whenever I wash my hair with nizoral I feel like my hair grows a millimeter, some of the short hairs in my hairline look longer after showers.

I figured out, it's not that my hair grows in one wash, it's more of a case of a layer of oil disappearing from my scalp and exposing more of the hair.

You should have specified that Nizoral studies have shown the same effectiveness as 2% Minoxidil, which is generally known to be ineffective.
