I don't think my hair can handle ketoconazole 2%, which is the shampoo I have at my disposal, more than once a week although I have a really greasy scalp. Is it worth it to buy Revita and use it ED or EOD, as opposed to my keto shampoo once a week?

Won't the "DHT levels in my scalp" go back up again between the applications of ketoconazole?

Where did you get the idea that ketoconazole does anything to DHT levels?

Ketocazole has some disruptive effect on DHT production, but not much. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14729013
if you look at the top it says "Med Hypotheses" there is no conclusive evidence that proves that it does inhibt DHT production and the person that typed that talks about EVIDENCE THAT IS PRESENTED TO SUPPORT THE HYPOTHESIS. It does however reduce scalp inflammation, which is important in the fight againt AA.

The spelling mistakes in that really damage any credibility.

Ketoconazole has very weak anti-androgenic effects, and is also mildly anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory. It will do barely anything on its own against male pattern baldness.

Yes true but it enables finasteride and Min to do their work in a clean healthy scalp. I think fungus and inflammation are important factors in male pattern baldness, there is no one factor causing it, thats why you need to hit it from multiple angles. I also use salicylic acid which removes sebum and is a pgd2 inhibitor as well as castor oil.

I'm not telling you what to do but heres why I don't use revita:

1. I confirmed with them that it only has .25% ketoconazole. All the studies with keto shampoo and hair loss were either 1% or 2% so their concentration is way low

2. Last I checked revita contained caffeine. I read if you use minoxidil caffeine is a no no as it may interfere with minoxidil
