Nizoral 2% - reading the label

Hi all

Opened a new box of the 2% stuff last weekend and noticed something the phamlet they include in the box.
It says that some users may experience "hairloss" while using it.

Is this just their usual disclaimer or is there more to it than this? I've cut my usage down to once or twice a week now as I was using it 5 times a week.

Anything you put on your head has the chance of hairloss... Nizoral is a really strong antifungal shampoo, and using the 2% more than 2x/week is definitely not good for your scalp. 1 application per week should be sufficient, but twice is optimal.

Don't use it anymore than you need to.

Yeah hairloss is one of Nizoral's side effect but strangely my male pattern baldness started after I stopped using it...I dont know whther stoppage of nizoral triggered my hair loss or not....My male pattern baldness started after i stopped nizoral for 1 1/2 years..but again it may just not be related because my brother too started his male pattern baldness around 1 year later than me...

I only use it now again because of it frying my hair. I use Jason TTT Shampoo otherwise which is SLS free.
