Hi,

Is it possible to get Nizoral 2% in England witout a prescription? I know you can get the dandruff one but will that have the same key indgrediants for hair loss? I really want some Nizoral but not sure if my GP willallow it as my hair isn't too bad, just staring to thin. I really don't see why this medication can't be offered over the counter.

Thanks

No repiles? Does the dandruff one contain ketoconazole. I have heard this is good for hair loss.

There is only one Nizoral, ie the dandruff one. Some studies have suggested it may help hairloss as well, so they are both the same thing...

Now for the percentage. Nizoral has 2% keto in it, the 1% version of it is sold as Nizorelle.

I buy mine from Boots, they stock both 2% and 1%. Someone has mentioned that Tesco's sell it too, I can't confirm this as I don't shop in Tescos.

PS: If you end up in Boots, somewhere next to Nizoral there should be lots of hairloss shampoos. They all work differently and they all claim to prevent hairloss. The science behind them is not solid, but some of them might be worth a try. I'm using Alpecin Double Effect at the moment, I'm not sure if it is doing me any good but it hasn't done me any harm neither...

I'm confused. I buy "nizoral" and on the bottle it says 1% with ketoconazole

Oh yeah... I know what you mean... I remember looking at Boots website and there are two versions of Nizoral there, one that requires prescription and one that doesn't. They are both the same thing.

I buy mine from my local shop. I walk in, pick it up from the shelf, pay for it, and walk out. No questions asked.

Well.. if it says 1%, then it must be 1%.

It's just that I thought in the UK 1% is sold as Nizorelle and not as Nizoral.

Do you buy nizoral from an UK seller?
