T/Gel helps with irritation/inflammation. A similar product was used during the propecia trials so it is a good idea for someone trying to simulate the trial results to include a similar shampoo.
T/Sal is what I use with Nizoral. I apply T/Sal, wait 3 min, apply nizoral, wait 5-8 min.
T/Sal contains salicylic acid (an exfoliating agent) which enhances the absorption of topicals and Nizoral. I believe that there is a "regrowth" shampoo available that contains salicylic acid and ketoconazole, being basically a mix of T/Sal and Nizoral.
You will have to find what works best for your scalp. Your regimen includes topicals, so T/Sal -if you find that it works ok for you- is a good idea.

i use nizoral 2% 3 time weekly and some anti-dandruff shampoo contain 4.25% coal tar and 2% salicylic acid 2 time weekly. other time, i use normal shampoo. i am thinking of using pregaine that is recommended by rogaine website. i doubt it help much, but at least it won't harm. i wash my hair twice daily so a gently shampoo might help.

i remember reading that bruce lee recommend mixing Tsal and nizoral to yourself to get the same benefit..
